meaNmachine
^^ To use pyromancy first equip 'pyromancy flame' in your weapon slot. Then use Up in D pad to select 'pyromancy spells'. There are many spells in the game, in the beginning you will have only one i.e Fireball. They are very effective against all types of enemies. You get pyro flame early (in Undead asylum) only if you have selected pyromancy class. Rest classes can get the flame later in the game. Tyler
You have four equipment slots, two for each hand. You'll almost always have at least one shield in the left hand. Equip a melee weapon and the Pyro flame in the right hand slots. Use left on the dpad to switch between pyro and melee. Use dpad up to cycle between spells (you currently have only fireball). Similarly down is used to cycle between consumable items (including thrown weapons). Press X to use selected item/consumable. It seems a little unweildy at first but the system is great and allows you to quickly switch between weapons, items and spells during combat. Also don't forget that you have two types of attacks (RB for light attack and RT for heavy). Almost every weapon has different attacks. And more importantly you can press Y to toggle two-handing any weapon and increase the damage significantly. EDIT: Tapatalk doesn't register line breaks. Aftrunner
ok i found the culprit causing the GFWL disconnections.. it was my Avast antivirus . switched it off and i played an hour of Dark Souls in Sen's fortress without getting disconnected, so if anyone else is having " GFWL disconnects while playing Dark Souls ON PC" try switching off the anti virus at your own risk. works for me now for some JOLLY COOPERATION You will need some Jolly cooperation once you get to OandS. Summon me if you see me.

Aftrunner
^^Best thing they ever did. f**k the assholes who used it to grief new guys in early parts of the game.
R a g h u
You can still do that..all you need is psn plus or create a backup of the ps3 before updating to 1.06. I have never invaded anyone in undead burg..i used that glitch to check different builds. My fave pvp area is Anor Londo. But yea I got invaded in burg many times but most of them took me for a newbie and dropped something and left..

Tyler
Oh you're gonna start loving those human forest hunters. They are the best way to farm souls quickly. There's an easy way to cheese them into falling to their deaths. Youtube it. The place is really close to a bonfire and each run will net you like 7K souls on NG. Don't even bother to go around as the damn cat will f**k your happiness all the time. It's better you check some videos on how to kill those enemies. Actually they are easy..you have move close to them and run back towards the door and stand on the ledge beside the door. Those guys will just run off the cliff and give you 2k souls each. Aftrunner
The bellowing Dragon crest ring affects Pyromancy too. As does the Dusk Crown head gear. MIND. BLOWN.
Tyler
Yup Pyro becomes totally OP with that. But it seems I have hit my first real hurdle on SL1 in the form of Quelaag. Pyro is out of the question, my +8 reinforced club is doing paltry damage and I have run out of buyable gold pine resins for this playthrough. Even with Mildred it's pretty hard to survive with such low vitality. Really wish there was a way to craft lightning weapons before Anor Londo. R a g h u
^^ you just have to summon me to drop a lightning weapon of your choice
Aftrunner
He is SL1. So unless you have a character that is SL 10-15 with a decent Lightning weapon, there isnt much you can do. Oh and he is on the PC.

Oh and he is on the PC. He knows about the Bottomless box glitch. So he can transfer all items from one character to a new SL1 character. He will give me 99 of all shards It is kinda cheating but WTH. Farming upgrade items is really boring.
Tyler
Nah, I wanna do it the proper way. Wouldn't be trying SL1 if I wanted to game the system.

meaNmachine
Nah, I wanna do it the proper way. Wouldn't be trying SL1 if I wanted to game the system. Agree with you. There is no fun if we cheat. I will definitely try SL1 playthrough later just to see how tough it really is I won't be using the BB glitch for my current playthrough. I will make another build just for PVP after i finish the game. Many players on PS3 share their items to promote PVP. PVP is dying beacuse of farming and all. Do you want the shards or the weapons at max upgrade? Either of them will do.
Tyler
Okay, so Quelaag is down. It ended up becoming a long a*s fight but managed to do it. Mildred helped but fell towards the end. Moving on, finished Sen's Fortress, killed Iron Golem (joke of a fight, dude didn't even stand a chance against my +10 Pyromancy). Also some a**hole invaded on the Sen's Fortress rooftop. He was clearly not an SL1 player (was carrying a Zwei). Wonder how that happened. Is Sen's a free for all area or something? Anyway, reached Anor Londo, crossed the a**hole archers on my second attempt. Now fighting the dynamic duo and well, it looks like I will have to bump up my pyro and get some gear upgrades. I manage to take out one of them easily but the second phase becomes a major pain. I run out of spell charges and estus. pbpoovannagamer
where is great grey wolf Sif's blind spot ? is it between his legs ??
Aftrunner
I wouldnt say he has a blind spot but like all big enemies he has problems hitting you if you are right up infront of him, or even better under him. Sif isnt a tough fight anyway. Just equip your best shield and go to town. If you have upgraded pyro you can absolutely destroy him in seconds. @ Ty was the invader blue? AFAIK Blade of the Dark Moon can invade people below their level.
