IMBender
Who says our awards are the best? Snuh-uh! The Almighty GameGuru blesses us all with some great awards for 2007 this time around. Oh yeah, read through it and you might find things you never knew about before. And oh, do vote for your favorite games there as well. Oh wait!... Anyways, on to the glorious awards and all the things you never knew. Like.. a. Gears of War, Ratchet & Clank Future: ToD, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, GRAW2, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and most importantly, Mass Effect are third person action-adventure games. Booyah! b. According to their wonderful, gloriously enlightening awards, Half-Life 2: Episode Two and The Orange Box are BOTH winners as far as the Best FPS awards are concerned. c. Half-Life 2 Trilogy (buh?) sucks on the PS3. d. Tabula Rasa is an awesome MMORPG. e. Master Chief's battered and aging MJOLNIR suit is apparently the height of fashion. f. PES 2008 and Assassin's Creed are 2007's biggest disappointments. Tried going through more, but I had to lash my hands to the chair to prevent myself from gouging my eyes out. Thankfully, the power blew, putting an end to my misery just as I was trying to poke my eyes out with a pen stand. Thank you, come again! Or not!! I r brian hurt.... bad.. Ouchiewawa! vinitwins
every game that uses a third-person perspective defaults into their third-person action-adventure genre, does it? ahhh, wonderful - i wish categorizing everything in life was just as simple. Ouchiewawa! dude, u r just overreacting ! Those guys has just categorized games into what appears to be their respective best feature. With all due respect, stop using this forum for mud slinging against ur competitors. I'm not defending gameguru.in, mind you. I have read enuf of their bloopers and I know its not a good site. But u r not even a regular poster here, and u come back to post a bitter thread against ur competitors- shows u in a very bad light ! P.S: I've nothing against u nor ur blog, so pls don't consider this reply as a flame bait.
Tyler
^^ But what they have written is still freakin' ridiculous! No self respecting gamer can help but cringe at that!

I wasn't aware that I had done this before, but apparently, I have, so, I guess I'll stop. Guess I was wrong when I thought I was posting this from an individual gamer's perspective rather than as a contributing member of TAP. I don't really have to sit down and explain all that I am doing or why we're doing it, but I can assure you we're not "competing" with anyone. The only competition we have is a friendly one among each of our staff in seeing who can generate more hits with their articles. Never mind the fact that even though Kotaku has stolen our works in the past, I've managed to convince all the people who're with us that I'd rather not waste time and spill a lot of bad blood following it up when I could be creating something new. I did not come back to post a bitter thread about GG, as you claim. I've not been posting anywhere for quite some time now, simply because the extreme demands that my work and the site have on my time are matched only by the hours that I spend with family and friends. I actually returned to 360i for an entirely different reason, which I hope will become very apparent to everyone by tomorrow (something which we at TAP and GI hope everyone will love) morning. I've had to work quite a bit to get the award / voting system in place, so I was just responding in anger to a list that actually made little to no sense at some places. I realize that if I was a third party forum member unconnected with TAP, then this wouldn't have happened, but I was just posting from a gamer's perspective. I was pissed off no end that they'd call Mass Effect, Gears of War and GRAW2 action-adventure titles and claim Assassin's Creed a failure, and thought other gamers would be equally upset at this. Apparently, I forgot that this would be construed as some form of slander against another portal. (....Mmm, Portal! Plushie!...) But yes, I am acidly critical of anything stupid that anyone posts, and I hold everyone accountable for their words, whether its GG or any other international website. Yes, even TAP! I am sorry I couldn't post more than what I usually do everywhere (which is quite a bit) but between work, my life and the website, I am really hard pressed for time. Time that I would actually spend making TAP as nice as possible, but let's not get into one of my really, long-winded rants. In a nutshell - no time, can't post regularly. Best I stick around until the end of what's coming and let Cody and Keeznah be our usual liaisons, as usual.

ctrl_alt_del
Competing with GG?!!! Any self-respecting blog would prefer to wind up rather then consider GG to be their competitors. Anyways, lets not deviate from the topic.
CarbonCore
Wow didn't see it before. Wtf is wrong with them ? There's no such game as "Super Paper Mario: Thousand Year door". Its either 'Super Paper Mario' for Wii, which is not even an RPG, and 'Paper Mario: Thousand Year door' which came out for GC 3 years ago. And last time I checked, Phantom Hourglass was still an action/adventure game. I'm more than dozen hours in that game, never realized its an RPG. Don't know what to say, just lol. CarbonCore
Just finished watching Gamespot's On the Spot show which had nominations for this year's awards and left with a big fat WTF feeling. You think GG's list is bad? GS beats it by a mile. For starters, how about no Mass Effect and Bioshock for best of 360, no Metriod Prime 3 for best Wii and no Uncharted and R&C for PS3. Heck Uncharted didn't even get a single nomination, as if the game never existed. Same with Metroid Prime 3, nowhere to be seen.
KeezNah
I could see why BioShock didn't get Best X360 game (it's not exclusive, that's for sure), but their list was definitely a big double-you-tee-effer. Surely, this nomination list must be an incomplete one if Gamesputz think they can get away without mentioning Uncharted as a nominee in its own friggin' respective console category! And GameGuru.in is the residential foundation of morons unlimited, that's been established well enough. "We Are Hiring!" indeed~
