Superman is just the laziest super hero creation of all time. All the powers in the world. And a disguise that consists of *gasp* taking off his glasses.

also the red laser thing that come out of his eye

yay ! jump on the bat-wagon as soon as nolan made it awesome :ack:

i am a batman fan more than superman's (fyi am a bat fan since before- and during- the bat nipples) and even i know Superman is the most iconic amongst the men in tights; more so after i read the few superman GN's the past few months. Sweet memorable stuff.

I've just finished watching Dhobi Ghat, and I've got to say I loved it, thoroughly. Now, I agree with people who've commented here and elsewhere that the pacing is quite slow. However, I think that suited the film to a tee. The slow unfolding of the characters and the relationships between them allows you to get interested in the portion of their lives shown on screen. I also liked that there was no real end to the film, just a sense that their lives will continue to be lived and that the final moment is simply a snapshot of transient contentment.

Resident Evil producer Eichinger dies

Movie producer Bernd Eichinger, who backed films such as The Name of the Rose, Resident Evil and The Baader Meinhof Complex, has died. He was 61.

Eichinger suffered a deadly heart attack Monday night during a dinner with family and friends in Los Angeles, according to his studio, Constantin Film AG.

The German-born Eichinger moved between Germany and Hollywood in a career that began in the 1970s.

He bought a stake in the fledgling studio company Neue Constantin Film in 1979 and became its executive director, shaping it into one of the most successful German studios.

Eichinger also produced some movies independently, including Downfall, a film about the last days of Nazi Germany that he also wrote. The film earned an Oscar nomination in 2005.

Eichinger won the Academy Award for best foreign-language film for Nowhere in Africa in 2003.

One of his earliest English-language films was the fantasy The Neverending Story, and he also produced the Leslie Nielsen comedy Wrongfully Accused.

Credits included Fantastic Four and Perfume — The Story of A Murder. His Resident Evil: Afterlife came out just last year. Eichinger also had plans to adapt the story of Natascha Kampusch, the Austrian girl who was kidnapped at age 10 and held in a cell for more than eight years, for the screen.
