The one u watched is not the original release, its a remastered version with added special effects , all three films Ep. IV , V and VI were added with special effects when Phantom Menace released in 99.

I'm not terribly excited though. Fox has a way of screwing up it's Marvel properties. But I still have high hopes for Darren Aronofsky's Wolverine movie.

Yeah, about that

Darren Aronofsky Bows Out of 'Wolverine'

The director says he is "sad," but the 20th Century Fox sequel would have kept him out of the country for too long.

Darren Aronofsky is bowing out of directing 20th Century Fox’s sequel The Wolverine, saying the project would keep him out of the country for too long.

Fox and Hugh Jackman - who is set to return in the title role - said they remain fully committed to making Wolverine and will move aggressively to find a new director.

Fox hadn’t yet greenlit the sequel. A significant portion of the movie will be shot overseas (there had been plans to shoot in Japan).

"As I talked more about the film with my collaborators at Fox, who have been totally supportive throughout my work on the movie, it became clear that the production of The Wolverine would keep me out of the country for almost a year,” Aronofsky said in a joint statement with Fox.

“I was not comfortable being away from my family for that length of time. I am sad that I won't be able to see the project through, as it is a terrific script and I was very much looking forward to working with my friend, Hugh Jackman, again,” he continued.

Stated Fox: “While we are of course disappointed that Darren can’t do The Wolverine, we also understand and respect his reasons. Having done both The Wrestler and Black Swan with Darren, we know he is an extraordinary talent and we look forward to working with him on other projects in the future. Hugh Jackman and Fox both remain fully committed to making The Wolverine. We will regroup and move forward aggressively.”

Aronofsky’s production company Protozoa has first-look deal with Fox.

Christopher McQuarrie is writing Wolverine. Movie doesn’t have a release date yet.

TBH if the script was good enough to get Aronofsky to commit then there is no reason it shouldnt turn out great none the less. Directors can only do so much, script is the core of any film.

On the contrary I think the movie isn't being marketed well. It's releasing next week and there is barely any buzz around it whereas it was hyped to death when the first teaser came out. A few early reviews indicate that it's a "love it or hate it" type of movie. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground.

^^ Yes and it's gonna be based on Silent Hill 3. The girl in the picture is supposed to be Heather. But I had no idea that Rose would be in the movie as well!

Anyway, on a related note, I rewatched the first Silent Hill movie the other day and I must admit that it is the best video game adaptation since the first Mortal Kombat movie. You can actually tell that the creators of the movie were really trying to make a genuine Silent Hill movie and not just something to cash in on a game's success (*cough* Prince Of Persia *cough*). It was a wise decision to keep the OST from the games intact, they seem to have understood that the music is an integral part of the SH experience. And for the record I never thought that the story of the first SH game was anything special (at least not as good as SH2/3/4) and the movie actually improved upon it.

It's sad that Revelations isn't being directed by Christophe Gans. Still, can't wait for it!

oh sweet sh3. so they are going for the proper sequel route eh. good.

agreed on the best adaption part, personally i havent seen many videogame to movies but what ever i have come across, sh was the best, not the least because of my liking for the series, the movie was very well made.
