I dont watch Malayalam cinema, but from what Ive seen of him in Tamil and what Ive read about him, in Malayalam, the guy is a total legend. He is. Just that this particular movie didn't really need him, despite the fact that he was the one reason for watching the flick. I'd have let them go for it and gone for Sucker Punch instead but then I intend to wait till a Director's Cut version / unrated / uncut version of the flick turns up before watching it. I agree completely on the point about Rajini, I just hate his so-called acting now but I've seen several of his films from long ago with friends and really loved the way he acted in those. Now he's into the big business of pleasing the masses. And yes, Sivaji Ganesan = Well i still seriously think Mohanlal(Not anymore),Mammooty,Kama Hassan Hariharan Pilla Happy Aano? That was where his trend of shitty movies began. Occasionally something decent would come out, but these days the actor who was my favorite right from my childhood (had the fortune of meeting him once cos my Dad was treating him several years ago when he came to Chennai and my uncle runs his Taste Buds company) seems to be taking on roles for the heck of it. Whereas Mammootty does do the occasional "mass appeal" film while doing a lot of off-the-beaten-path roles too. Snyder tells the paper “There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.” Snyder declined to talk about the extent of the Lois role in the story other than claiming it's “a linchpin” to the project with his take on Lois set to have "contemporary appeal and spirit". “It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. Amy Adams is fine but couldn't they have gone for someone who naturally looks like Lois. I'm not a big fan of Superman myself but I am really looking forward to the Snyder/Nolan collaboration and what comes out of it. Anyway, watched Sucker Punch again.
