Tyler Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 I don't know what critics really expect from movies (other than involvement from the Coen Brothers and Daniel Day Lewis). Snyder at least deserves credit for doing something different with an action movie. A lot of them talk about Sucker Punch being boring or how the plot doesn't make sense... but does it really have to? It's a "visual" movie, can't they just accept that? And at no point (during my two viewings) did I find the movie "boring" - it's far from it. And to be honest the plot itself is not as bad as it could have been judging from the trailers and promotional material. It's definitely gonna be a cult movie in the long run... some of the greatest movies had the misfortune of one-star reviews when they first came out. Fight Club comes to mind... and coincidentally Sucker Punch uses a song that was featured in Fight Club. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My friends do this too. "LOL that film has only gotten 2 stars in the Times of India/HT review." Its impossible to try to explain to them how completely worthless the newspaper reviews are.
