Just why did they feel the need for an origins movie when there was already one (and a rather kickass and amazing movie followed by an even better sequel) less than a decade ago? I just think the movie would've looked better if they made it more serious, because outerspace parts looks so good and the earth parts not so much. Also, agree so much with what Praveer said. The previous trilogy is still fresh in people's minds. They've taken a risky decision. I hope it pays off though. Hector Hammond looks even more comical in the comics. His head is much MUCH larger than his body in the comics. Besides he won't be the main villain in the movie. Parallax cannot be defeated even by the likes of Superman and the rest of the JLA. It takes a GL to conquer an entity that is made of pure fear.
