I wanna go this weekend but initial reviews are mixed to say the best. Came back from a late night Friday show. Didn't create the same magic as the previous movies. Depp is as usual good. Cruz is a dampener. Story takes too long to get to the point and when it does, people have lost interest in it. Even if you do want to go just to watch Jack Sparrow, give the 3D version a miss. Not to mention a big mess they make of the whole agenda (no spoilers from me, the movie is spoiler enough ). I mean, four of us watched the movie and we haven't discussed it even once since. Nothing new in this one. This strengthens my resolve to watch movies only after checking out reviews. Not to mention I prefer going on weekdays for the late show coz it lightens up the week and tickets are reasonably priced then (price of gold class in weekdays = price of regular class on weekend). playstation Posted May 22, 2011 Report Share Posted May 22, 2011 saw two movies recently Lamha: it does bring out the deep core issue of kashmir very nicely and shows how Kashmir is kinda become like a company for politicians of delhi and separatists .....both making lot of money in the name of kashmir while real kashmir is burning....and one more thing i liked abt the movie it does not try to be pro-India or pro- pakistan ....it really does speak its mind....but at the same the execution is pretty filmy at times....you will see same old snajay dutt playing one-man army and also it looses what it builds up at the end...a decent flick...will give abt 6/10 Shagird : ah....nice movie .. nana patekar in same old kinda of encounter police office does not bring much to the movie...Mohit ahlawat is also aint anything great in this movie....he acted better in james and shiva.....i'd say watch it once if you can...it is not great but nice watch...you wont get bored that is for sure... having said all that it is really sad to see India cinema even when acknowledges a actor for his role...does not help him to grow....look at irrfan khan...great actor but i have seen so many of his movies as a gangster that i feel i cannot expect anythign else from him....same with nana patekar once again in tough cop role....look at Naseerudin Shah....he is one example of true talent not saying others are not but he has always been trying something else also....Hope to see both nana and irrfan realize the potential in them and try with different roles than playing the regular ones they have been in recent times...
