Watch it anyways,not worth waiting for the dvd Ragini MMS till interval is a nice Comedy movie.. post that it is kinda thriller in parts.. There is no logic offered behind who and why of bhoot.. And the climax is so disappointing.. Abrupt ending as if director stopped working when his cheque bounced.. It is marketed as a movie high on Sex and Horror.. You will soon realise though, that there is neither sex nor horror.. Just a few steamy kisses and a marathi speaking ghost.. Good performance though by the Hero.. he acted just like a perfect arsehole as was meant to be.. And Kainaaz is cute.. If you are low on cash.. you must seriously pass this one.. I have seen Paranormal Activity and Blairwitch project.. and I liked them both.. They did scare me. Ragini was ok in the performance deprtament but I really don't think sound and background score were good. See Bhoot for example.. the BG score haunts you and the sound startle you at the right time. As for haunted, as I have mentioned before the scariest part was the way hero and heroine look.. their face itself is paisa vasool for a horror film.. Though, I do not want a logical explanation of why and how.. i do believe that the end was not even scary..Like say in paranormal Activity or in Blairwitch where it haunts you even when you are out of movie theatre. Having said that, I am glad you liked it.. Ekta Kapoor though makes the same old crappy TV shows, atleast she is experimenting with Genre in the Film Department and giving newbies a well deserved chance. She targets youth and markets Sex, Modern Love Relationships, Concieted Youth and their vices in her films and still manages to show the film on screen with hardly any nudity. Guess all her piled up contemprory views are expressed through the medium of cinema.. and well, it makes money for her as well. I respect her as an entrepreneur and business woman.. It has its flaws and like you said the ending lacks punch but its definitely a decent effort and its always good to see someone from Bollywood trying their hands at a different genre. However I must say that the movie had its creepy moments - the part where the ghost is sitting next to her on the bed, the long dark corridor and the poor girls plight (imagine being chained in a room with an angry ghost and a corpse, hungry and thirsty... with almost zero chance of escape). It has four stories intertwined into it. 75 mins well spent for the "campy" horror fan Trick 'r Treat is freakin' awesome! It sucks that it never got a theatrical release. It's wayy better than most horror sequels and remakes that make it to the theaters. I really hope they make a sequel. Also am I the only one who found the little burlap sack creature cute?
