arre hollywood karta hai we all appreciate it..but when our own bollywood does ,we find out mistakes...grown up on movies like commando where arnold carries the whole arsenal of a full army and goes on a rampage...or Stallone shoots up copters..and even now in movies these kinds of things happen..but we are all praises..but let our indian hereos attempt a bit of extra ordinary and we all suddenly turn as critics

Dude, if they show one guy destroying every one, I am fine by that. I have only problem with the way they show it. Arnold never goes bullet time in Commando. Just see Singham, there is a limit to stretching us to a fantasy world, the Indian movies break that limit.

In Sunny Deol's earlier movies like Ghayal, Arjun and Ghatak, he destroys people in them, but it looks somewhat believable. But in Gadar, they broke that limit, he throws people around like they were made of cardboard, uproots poles from ground etc etc. This breaks the movies for me.

Even see a movie called I Proud to be an Indian. However crap it may be, but it has some kickass fight sequences which are very very believable, there also a single guy destroys 4-5 powerful brits, but not like Singham. Also, see the size difference between Sunny, Salman and Ajay. He has put some muscle in the movie, but is no where close to Salman and Sunny. They are too bulky compared to him, and we can say that they look okay when they toss people around. Ajay Devgan just doesnt look that menacing.

On the acting part, I liked the movie, but they went way overboard with the action. Seems like they are going the same way with Bodyguard. Too overboard with dudes doing Matrix.

@ambar, there's no limit to fantasy. Thats the reason its called that. And don't get so worked up about singham  Movies like these are supposed to be provide a distraction from your everyday busy life. Of course they depict things which is not possible in the real world, thats the reason why some people enjoy stuff like these. If you come down south, majority of action movies are like these. People love to see their heroes as larger than life, nothing wrong with it. Looks like even bollywood wants the same now. If Singham is a hit, there'll be more movies lined up. Anyway, I prefer movies like these to the NRI romcoms churned out by the bollywood biggies !

But I heard the movie is supposed to be all Rajnikanth style stuff. I thought it's not supposed to be realistic or believable even in the looser sense

Yeah, so was Dabangg. But it had less over the top stuff. If you remove action from this movie, there are some kickass dialogues in there. Action which was supposed to be the best part, actually became the weak point of the movie.

It's 6 blurays & 9 DVDs. Each movie is presented on 2 blurays. Rest is all additional content (same as the EE DVD set IIRC).
