Yo guys i needed some recommendations..it seems that i have come to an end to the list of movies i had decided to watch this vacation..please ill tell u the movies i am absolutely mad about and please give me a few recommendations of ur own..

The first two are the definetly the two movies that entertained me the most

1)Lock,Stock And Two Smokin Barrels

2)Snatch

Next two are Tarantino Classics

3)Pulp Fiction

4)Reservoir Dogs(Most ppl say that Pulp Fiction is better but i am a bigger fan of Reservoir Dogs)

The Next are Legendary Action Films from one of the best Action Movie combinations--Legendary director John Woo and Chow Yun Fat

5)Hard Boiled (HK movie with John Woo and Chow Yun Fat)

6)The Killer ( HK movie with John Woo and Chow Yun Fat)

7)A Better Tomorrow 1 (HK movie with John Woo and Chow Yun Fat)

8)A Better Tomorrow 2 (HK movie with John Woo and Chow Yun Fat)

9)A Better Tomorrow 3 (HK movie with John Woo and Chow Yun Fat)

10)The Game(Sean Penn, Michael Douglas and David Fincher)

11)Memento(One of the best directions in any movie done by Christopher Nolan and Aamir Khan's upcoming Ghajni is indirectly inspired by this movie)

12)The Usual Suspects(One Word-Kevin Spacey?? Should i say more?)

13)Fight Club(This is like the coolest and best movie of all time and the most inspirational lol)

14)Se7en(Morgan Freeman, David Fincher and Brad Pitt)(the best Fincher movie and the best Brad Pitt movie)

15)Saw 1(story-wise Saw 2,3,4 are not good as 1 though torture and gore shown in them is way better)

16)Hostel 1 (Hostel 2 was better in respect to the killings but again considering the story hostel 1 was much better)

17)Grindhouse-Planet Terror(awesome Robert Rodriguez film-mind you this movie is gonna be a legend one day)

Grindhouse-Death Proof which was written and directed by Taratino was pathetic--its the only bad tarantino film i can think of

18)Sin City(Another Robert Rodriguez Classic)(i so want to see Alba again in Sin City 2 &3)(There are rumours that johnny Depp are gonna be part of Sin City in the upcoming movies)

19)L A Confidential(really good film of noir genre)

20)All of Jason Statham movies

21)The Man With No Name Trilogy(its old but as they say 'old is gold')

22)The Bourne Trilogy

Well the list goes on but i thought id stop here....U guys must have seen most of the pics i mentioned here if not then u better start buying those DVD's because most of the movies i mentioned here are spectacular and way better than those oscar winners..theyre part of their own genre..

Other movies that i am thinking of watchin are

1)Boondock Saints

2)Way of the Gun

3)Shawshank Redemption

4)Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

5)The Big Lebowski

6)El Mariachi

Note--I have mentioned only those movies that are not very familiar with the general public or are part of the genre that i like so i havent mentioned great movies like green mile ,The Godfather, Seven Samurai etc

I havent rated them according to my liking just showed them in a presentable order..

I hope i have narrowed down my choices...Please give recommendations of only those movies that you have seen beacuse i dont want to see a complete shitty flick and waste my time..

I love good popcorn action flicks also so tthrow a few of those if u can..

i dont want to think things too much i just want to be entertained so please dont give movies that are highly dramatic or inspirational

Please look up IMDb for more details

Thank You

'Boondock Saints' is sorta ok....it has some good moments, overall just an avg movie.

Shawshank Redemption is perhaps one of the best movies you will ever watch in your lifetime. For me this movie is even a notch above 'The Godfather'. Do not, I repeat - DO NOT MISS THIS MOVIE AT ANY COST !

If you like Jason Statham, watch - 'crank' and 'The italian job' both are excellent treats for action junkies !

One of my colleagues was saying 'D-War' is sort of good timepass as well, I haven't seen it, so check it out !

I love good popcorn action flicks also so tthrow a few of those if u can..

Watch Alien and Aliens, the first one is a very cool horror flick. The second one is one of the best action films of all time. In fact watch Aliens and see if you can spot the many, many things Halo took from that film. Aliens also has some of the coolest one liners ever.

If you liked Sin city and Hard boiled its worth looking for the El Mariachi trilogy from Rober Rodriguez. Its pure gun porn. :naughty:

And lastly like Neo says DO NOT miss The Shawshank redemption. I wouldn't say its better than Godfather but its right up there with it as one of the most stunning films of all time.

ive seen all jason statham movie except that dungeon siege and a couple of odd flicks like mean machine.ive seen half of mean machine and you know what the longest yard which starred adam sandler was totally copied from mean machine the only difference is one of them has football and the other american football and that the adam sandler movie is better !!

Thanks for the reply but i ve already watched the 4 alien movies and i too would recommend only the first two movies...the third one was directed by david fincher but its still not as good as the ridley scott(Alien) and james cameron movies(Aliens)

And ive also watched the the last two parts of el mariachi trilogy(desperado and once upon a time in mexico)i didnt even that there was a movie before them

ill watch it soon enough

the first el mariachi movie is the one i like the best. And it has the best commentary track EVER. Rodriguez must've passed out from exhaustion right after it was recorded.

Does anyone remember any other Aliens one-liners. there are so many. i started things off with hudson's game over line. lol.

And Finchers Alien movie is just as good as the others. The key is to watch the workprint and not the theatrical cut. And follow it up with the special edition documentary so you know how much the studio f**ked with finchers vision for the movie. Props to Fox for actually letting the sad production saga come out in the open, and on DVD to boot.

Skip Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - a below avg flick

Shawshank Redemption is one of the greatest movies ever made - dont miss it

Some decent flicks apart from the ones mentioned above - Domino, Papillon (1973), all Indiana Jones flicks, El Mariachi (the first one, a low budget movie) - i wont go a far that it will blow you away, but it reveals what great potential Rodriguez has

N joy!

yeah ive heard of pan's labyrinth its some kind of mexican fantasy film..if i am not mistaken isnt the director the same person whos gonna direct "the hobbit"

i dont watch brad pitt's films anymore----after watching four of his best films--Se7ven,twelve monkeys, fight club, snatch ----his films stink nowadays(Ocean Trilogy was Ok for me just not as good as his earlier movies and onlyt some scenes of Troy were even remotely good)

the only movie ill watch of his is gonna be his re-collaboration with david fincher this year titled "the curious case of benjamin button

Hudson again:

Hudson: Vasquez, ever been mistaken for a man?

Vasquez: No, have you?

LOL!

Edit: Not really a one-liner but it was either that or 'stay away from her, you BITCH', which has been done to death.
