Matrix= Ultra uber mindblowingly brilliant piece of art.

Yep. Planning a Matrix marathon this weekend. Although they don't hold a candle to the original I still love the sequels.

I wonder if Warner Bros have any plans of resurrecting the franchise... I think I'm ready for a new Matrix trilogy.

I love the concept of the Matrix more than the action sequences, though they were superb

and the way The Prestige build up, with the rising tension, boy it is awesome

Edit: it is tough to create a new Matrix movie, it is done and dusted, there is nothing more in that, unless they want to milk it

In fact the Matrix has not even left anything for Other cyber punk movies

Matrix Reloaded had some amazing action sequences. Movie not as good as Matrix 1, but action was definitely fun. The fight starts from the Chateau and ends on the road when Neo saves Morpheus. Epic action packed ride.

I agree, The Prestige >> any other Nolan movie. It's almost perfect. Then again it's based on a book so Nolan doesn't get all the credit for it's twisting plot. But he did an amazing job at adapting it. The whole movie is a giant magic trick.

Also, The Matrix > Inception. I love Inception too but The Matrix is more watchable. The middle portion of Inception (before the proper "heist" begins) is tediously slow on repeated viewings.

me too prefer Prestige anytime over inception. Prestige doesn't have any imaginary premises like machines to enter dreams or things like that. THe movie is completely plausible which makes it that much better...in other words it's great coz it's true..

which book is it...??

The Prestige by Christopher Priest

I liked the movie a lot. I loved Christian Bale in the movie, plus it has Scarlett Johannson. The ending is f**ckin' crazy.

The only thing I have a little problem with is the cloning part of it. It didn't seem in tone with the rest of the movie. The movie is all about illusions and tricks and the way they show cloning it seems almost supernatural. But I guess the ending of the movie wouldn't have the impact that it did without cloning. Complete mindf**k.

Has anyone seen 'The Illusionist'? Complete crap. Edward Norton is the only thing watchable.

will try to read the book..

ahh..so you too got deceived ehh...you see the theory with the clones is that there never really was any cloning...Tesla only managed to give him a grand electric machine and the jackman's character only written in the book about cloning. but in reality he too was just using stunt doubles. And he's setup bale at the end and made it look like he's killed him and thus sending him to jail..check IMDB boards and FAQ...u'll be amazed at the number of theories

illusionist is nowhere near the perstige...it's just an OKish movie..

EDIT: The most underrated Nolan movie is Batman Begins. Why most people don't rate it is baffling.

Batman Begins was awesome man

I love Batman Begins. I've seen it more times than TDK. BB works better as a "comic book/superhero" film compared to TDK. TDK feels more like a crime drama.

Anyway, just came back from PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3. Turned out to be much better than I expected (if you don't mind the inconsistencies in the technology - HD widescreen video in 1988? on VHS?). Be warned though 90% of the scares are of the "jump" variety although there are a few genuine creative ones. Overall it's a decent watch and if you liked the first two you should enjoy this one too. The climax of the movie is f**king tense!
