Watched Friends with Benefits Last Night....

6.75/10 (Still I don't understand the feelings & love......shown in that movie.)

Also this movie I can relate to No Strings Attached, Both I think are focussing on the same Motto!

I donno how these things work in Indian Scenerio. :P Just thinking not judging.

Watched Battle LA, Serenity and True Grit yesterday.

I thought Battle LA was a decent action movie. The Rotten Tomatoes score of 37% seems a bit harsh. It never claims to be more than what it is - a fun aliens Vs marines popcorn flick. It delivers the rousing climax that this kinda movie promises.

Serenity - It seemed to be the perfect send-off for a short-lived albiet beloved series. I really loved the part where River just unleashes herself on the Reavers. Its a damn shame these characters, especially Fillion's Malcolm Reynolds, might never be seen in a movie or TV series again.

True Grit - loved it. Even though the cast included the The Dude(Jeff Bridges) and Jason Bourne(Matt Damon), it was the little 14 year old girl that stole the show. The beautiful cinematography and great performances make this one a must-buy on Blu Ray for me.

Review by Mihir Fadnavis.Lol, he's ripped it apart

all right I read this, this guy is all negative about it, how can everything be wrong, he just does not like anything about it, strange

here is the gem which to me meant that he is a true hater

There is little to recommend here beyond the Rajinikanth cameo, unless you like your Shahrukh endorsing, flag-waving fanboy jingoism taken to extreme lengths.

Edit: so he actually gave it 2/5 points but had nothing good to say about the movie in like 1000 words. wow. that's irony.

Also my brother went to the movie today, first show, 3D. He was all praise for the VFX, he said that it is average if compared to Avatar or Transformers but beats Robot and Krishh by a mile

movie is Ok according to him, around 3/5 but the VFX stand out

worth noting is that he is the Hollywood worship type guys, in fact he is a Salman fan on top of that. If he says that the VFX are the best in this country till date, there is a fairly big chance that they actually are.

In one instance Subramaniam uses his fingers to eat spaghetti with curd, just to highlight our hero’s South Indian heritage.

Absolutely ridiculous. This is one of the prime reasons why I absolutely despise Hindi films. They try and stereo-type South Indians to look retarded and put absolutely 0 effort into trying to portray them as real characters. Or lack any sort of originality to set-up a comedy track.

like the south indians love north indians. let's not get there. I have lived in Chennai for 3 years.

even they think of north indians as some stereotype dudes.

it is like Americans think all Indians are snake charmers.

Clearly a rajnikanth fanboy.I bet if Rajnikanth had starred in this movie instead of srk , he would have reviewed it differently.

You're stereotyping Hindi movies by saying that it stereotypes South Indians

Fact is it stereotypes everything

laugh a loud dumb Punjabis

Dhoti clad Macher Jhol bengali Babus

Pious Muslims

loud Gujratis

Point is if you live in India Hindi movies have made an offensive stereotype of the people from your region

like I said, I am not getting into that argument, lets just say that I have my personal experience that have not been nice to say the least. Nothing against anybody, but just my personal experiences.

I am saying that it is tough to clearly understand the other culture as if it is your own

like almost all the black dudes in Hollywood movies are so badass, or so talkative. It is far from truth. They are so reserved.

But who cares. It sells

PS: Please do not start posting your academic credentials again, I begin to feel illiterate.

You clearly lack anything reasonable to say to defend your comment. Hence 'I dont want to go into the details'. If you so obviously have something to say, then share it. Again, your lack of things to say means you resort in childish scything of me. Go ahead, what are you going to post next in response to my post.

But you do see the difference dont you. If it was a manner of how we speak or something on those lines, it would totally be acceptable. But they go and do something extremely stupid like showing we eat spagetti with curd. They might as well have shown him eating curd-rice with fingers. Or rice with his fingers.
