Production on Halo: Faith began in late 2010, with concept art for the film dating back to October, 2010, depicting action on the planet Reach. The film has been made as a non-profit film, purely for the entertainment of 'Halo fans', as a 'Halo fan film'. However, the aim of the film is to raise the level of the standard of work that is usually achieved with such a small budget. This has included hiring those who have worked on such feature-length blockbusters as The Hulk, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Avatar to achieve the best quality film possible. Whilst the film has been shot in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, the environments have been produced using CGI, with virtually the entire film being shot on a green screen. The final day of filming took place on April 23, 2011. At E3 2011, the Halo: Faith team announced that the film would be released on November 20, 2011, five days after the release of the latest video game in the Halo series, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and would be able to be seen for free online. By July 2011, a trailer for the film was in production. However, due to 'administrative' problems, the trailer was the delayed, and the release date of the film was ultimatley forced to be pushed back until some time in 2012. Despite the first screenshot for the film being released on September 9, 2011, the trailer itself was not released until November 10, 2011. The story starts with a public injustice that 77 people can stand but not the hero. after which hero makes his over-dramatic entry wowing the audience into orgiastic frenzies. The trusty sidekick whose only purpose in life is to follow the hero, wisecrack, and drive all manners of transport is: Vivek who also provides a separate comedy track from now. The hero now happens to have to spend 4 to 180 minutes with Dhanalakshmi, the extremely beautiful and busty heroine girl-who-lost-her-puppy, and she promptly falls in love with him for his brutish ungenteelness and clean mind. Oh heck, its time for some family sentiment now, for the elders and the women: The hero does all his cussing & violence to help a bunch of blind homeless children Thirumalai's sense of social responsibility (and streetfighting skills) are pricked when he discovers that the biggest rowdy in the city has been harassing the heroine/murdering innocent victims . He and Dhanalakshmi must rush against the clock, and use the hero's heightened survival instincts, knowledge of ancient martial arts, geography, raw power and the heroine's looks, as their mission takes them through the mysterious places of one of the hundred shanties in Chennai Of course by now its high time we had a song followed/preceded by a gratuitous scene for the adult males where the heroine learns how to pull and make it rise, the arcane skill of drawing water from a well. In a barely-there tanktop. Back to story, or what's left of it. The situation gets compounded in complexity when the police, ministry and the rest of the world's powers conspires against the hero. And the bad guy happens to be none other than the biggest rowdy in the city with visions of megalomania and no concern for human life. And logic. Thirumalai and Dhanalakshmi put their fate into the hands of God and start running from/attacking the bad guys. The hero then finishes all the bad guys one by one in excruciating detail/planning and aphorisms until finally the villian is exposed and wasted.Thirumalai and Dhanalakshmi look on as his life comes to an end and theirs just starts. There has to be a profound message for the public right? Yes! The rich & beautiful always fall for the lowly labourer/the jobless Ok, I get the point, enough already... Another movie based on the story is releasing next year called Mirror Mirror!. Julia Roberts is the evil queen in this one.
