Drive has Ryan gosling

Money Ball has Brad Pitt

Melancholia has keifer/kirsten dunst

I've heard of drive and moneyball, but never got around to watching them. Drive is on my radar, but I heard its very slow paced, need to be in the proper mood to watch such stuff.

GTA fans should definitely watch Drive..Its so stylishly shot, pace of the movie would slip away from your mind, in fact its actually perfect!

And about moneyball, its based on Baseball managers and scouts and how they work to put together a winning team..I hate baseball, yet the movie is so good especially Brad pitt!

Melancholia may make some nauseous, cuz its incredibly realistic, thats how we ll react when the world ends! :(

Sherlock Holmes 2

There was quite a bit of action. Some scenes in the movie are good - especially towards the end. Nothing too great about the movie. Mostly average film. The homo-erotic undertones (or 'bromance') felt forced this time - they weren't undertones anymore. SH1 did it better. (Fight Club did it best)

I'm pretty pissed that they

killed off Irene Adler. What was the need for that? Racheal McAdams acts better and is much prettier than that stupid unknown gypsy woman with the face of a horse.

Not only that - Irene was completely forgotten in the second half of the movie. Her death didn't mean anything - the movie would've been the same regardless.

Wasn't she at least worth a mention in the end?

Overall it was not as good as I would've liked - Mission Impossible was better

They had to kill her/remove her out of movies. Irene Handler was the only woman who impressed Holmes in his life, but she was there in only one novel. Extending her role means showing romantic side of Holmes, and that is not good. He never cared for women in the novels.

IMO it sh*ts all over MI4 in every aspect, be it story, acting, direction, everything. There was never a sense on suspense in MI4. It was just an all out thriller with loads of predictable set pieces. And unless you are psychic, you cant predict what is gonna happen in SH2.

Watched Moneyball and Dof Day Afternoon over the weekend. Both were absolutely :majesty:

Cant think of anyone from the current generation who could have pulled off the vulnerability and poise displayed by Al Pacino in the same role.

I am a F***ing star!

True that! He's such a brilliant actor! The way he portrays the haunting feeling of killing an innocent man is inexplicable!
