Aftrunner
I wonder who they will find to play Joker in the future. Gary Oldman would have made one hell of a good Joker (dont believe me, watch Leon, he plays the Joker there without the makeup and does it better than Ledger IMO) but he is already playing Gordon. Daniel Day Lewis would have been excellent but I bet he wont touch a pop culture flick like this with a pole. So personally I would go with Capt'n Jack Sparrow. Keyofx
DDL would need to be conned into it. Telling him that hes going to be doing a PTA film would do the trick nicely. you're just a bastard in a basket!
Bulovski
Watchmen Movie Trailer. Watch It. Now! :dance2: Also - go read the book if you haven't. You have one year and no excuses.
Aftrunner
Watchmen Movie Trailer. Watch It. Now! :dance2: Also - go read the book if you haven't. You have one year and no excuses. Yep its brilliant. But the director has a history of making great trailer and sh*t films (300 case in point) so I am cautious about this one. Plus Watchmen is one of my favourates of all time. BTW the song by Smashing pumpkins is a stroke of genius.
Keyofx
300 was ordinary but The Dawn of the Dead remake was top class. And which pumpkins song have they picked for the trailer?
Systematic
Just got back from TDK. One word, stupendous. This movie is a perfect example of how movies based on comics should be made. The movie from the start right to the compelling end maintained a balance of all cinematic aspects for even the ultimate movie critic. Action was top notch, right throughout every explosion, crash and fight sequence was well coordinated. Nothing seemed too far fetched to say "Psshhh....yeah right...". Acting, oh my. Do I even have to be another one out of the millions already who have already added to the praise of Heath Ledger, quite frankly, yes I do. This was a batman movie although the joker is what made this movie. I can't express in words, what respect I have for the script and the acting of Ledger in words. His performance is what I kept waiting for, from the sadistic humor to the gripping psychotic dialog it was just transcendent. The story, at certain points leads you off the path that we're so used to going down in normal predictable comic book movies, to something so unimaginable that you'd almost think that you had everything figured out. Also, the characters are just so inter-related flawlessly in the script that you feel the pain when it really matters. Today, I think TDK has changed the way I will watch and criticize movies in the future. This was and is history in the making.

Systematic
Systematic....u wrote everything that i had im my mind...TDK...truly an epic movie.. I know I might get hammered for saying this but I think in the past couple of years TDK is the best movie I have seen, and to be honest I've seen quite a few movies. TRMNTR
I liked TDK but it is NOT a 9.7 (IMDb) for sure... Maybe an 8.5! Better than Godfather? Nope.
Systematic
Better than Godfather? I see that your comparisons are spot on.

TRMNTR
I see that your comparisons are spot on. I am not making a comparison... I am talking about IMDb in general! If I wanted to make a comparison, I would have said that it's not better than Spiderman!

argruid
I kinda sorta agree with Karan. I saw The Dark Knight over the weekend. While i must admit that it was quite spectacular, and heath ledger's performance as the joker was definitely brilliant, i cant help but wonder if the super high scores that everyone is giving it is due to heath ledger having died. His portrayal of the joker was spot on, psychotic, unrelenting and unrepentant. I cant really think of another movie where the villain was as brilliant. Batman himself seemed to have a much smaller part in this movie, and Bale as always brings out the character he portrays really well. I liked the part in the beginning where he complains about the batsuit being a little cumbersome, and later on where he wonders if the batman is actually the best for the city or if its time for him to hang up his cape. Oh.. and two face was friggin awesome. Overall I thought it WAS a brilliant movie.. but best movie ever? I think not.
