I agree, Special 26 is a pretty well directed film. A must watch.

Another reason that I want to live through 2014 is The Hobbit: There and Back again. I saw its first part yesterday, not sure how I missed it in 2012. The same old magic seems to have reappeared on the screen.

Also just finished watching Silent Hill: Revelation. A pretty decent yet not so intense film. Not as good as its first part.

SH: Revelation is probably the worst adaptation of a video game (including Uwe Boll's movies). It's the worst thing associated with the franchise and nowhere near the quality of the first movie. It's clear that Christophe Gens understood what SH was all about when he made the first SH movie. But this new director (and script writer) have turned it into some kind of slasher/torture porn flick while trying to adapt the story of the third game.

The only good things are the probably the actress who plays Heather, who I thought did a decent enough job and a couple of references to the game.

But there are so many things wrong with the movie which will make a SH fan cringe... I'll spoiler them out just in case...

- The entire Pyramid Head vs Missionary fight at the end. I was like "what the f**king f**k is this?" I mean an ACTUAL fight scene complete with choreography and flipping around. And Pyramid Head is now a hero?

- The Missionary design.... looked like a rejected Cenobite design from Hellraiser sequel #45.

- Stupid references to other SH games crammed in the last 10 mins. Sean Bean is now suddenly James Sunderland? "I have to find my wife" WTF? If they are going to adapt SH2 next, how the hell are they going to explain the ending - which is the whole point of the story. Then suddenly Travis Grady shows up - who you know was in the prequel to the FIRST game on which the first movie was based... back when Heather was a child. And if that's not enough, it's followed up by a reference to SH Downpour. /facepalm.

- Crappy CGI killed all tension and scares. Also stupid gore scenes that were straight out of Hostel or something.

- Gimmicky 3D shots that look lame when you watch the movie in 2D.

- They also completely messed up Douglas' and Vincent's characters. Douglas is barely even in the movie and gets killed in the first 20 mins. Vincent is some whiny emo kid.

- Carrie Ann Moss... oh how has Trinity fallen! She was in only two scenes and extremely horrible in those.

What a mess...

I said something similar about the movie few pages back. I wouldn't mind if first one was just another movie based game but original SH was genuinely great movie. They went with over-the-top plot with rituals and other sh*t

Watched The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2 last night.

Both parts are awesome! But 1st part is better IMO. The final fight in 1st part and the way Batman kicks Superman's a$$ :punk:

Suggest some Batman and Superman Animated movies (No Justice league).

Held off for this long coz wanted to watch ZDT in the theatre. Those who've seen it, should I expect scene cuts?

Na...there is no gruesome violence or nudity in the movie.....

Or you can wait coz i will watch it again in theater and will let you know if any scenes are cut or not.... :)

Acc to PVR Cinemas ZDT is A rated film ..
