Kisrten Dunst? The f**k did I just read? So not only is it games and movies, you have crappy taste in women too? Well, ofcourse, except Mila Kunis. :P

Once again I agree with afty (gotta stop doing this). Dunst was kinda perfect as MJ.

Also Dunst in rain in SM1...

@snake - wasn't that SM2? When doc ock kidnaps her? The scene where shes completely wet and her nipples could be seen. haha i was 12 years old at the time.

However thinking back she was kind of shallow as a character. Hopefully the mj in this exists for more than just a plot device for Peter.

It still bums me out that they had one of the hottest red heads in the world in Emma Stone and decided to "Blond" her and now we are stuck with .... her.

emma stone is a natural blonde. she colored her hair just before (or for) superbad and got fmous as a red head.

she looks smoking hot regardless the color of her hair but red suits her the best, that i agree with.

as for mj vs gwen, iirc the chick who played gwen in toby trilogy was a natural redhead while kistern playing mj was a blonde and they had to reverse their color. i always found it funny and odd.

but not as odd as your inexplicable crush on kistern dunst

I think MJ needs to be a stronger character than just a tool used to threaten Spider-man with.

As an example, take Lois Lane. You get the feeling that Superman, despite virtually being a God, still stands in awe of her and admires her.

thats cause mj gives poontag easily. ms lane however is a tease.

moreover women folk in comic book movies should really be used just for t&a and damsel in distress scenes. we already have film makers trying to cram in gritty realism in a ~150min movie, this female empoweremnt crap will just take more time away. time that could be used to see our hero open a can of whoop a*s.

naa I prefer my characters having personality.. makes them more relatable (chrome is telling me this word doesn't exist? wtf :/)..

relatable ? oh i am sure having a strong woman will make a movie where a skinny guy sticks to walls and have cat like reflexes from being bitten by a genetically modified spider- feel much closer to real life.

Um.. that has nothing to do with having relatable characters? The premise of a story has nothing to do with how much you connect with a character. You're wayy to quick to dismiss these things just because the premise of a story doesn't ground itself in reality.

Here's Stan Lee himself (and other authors) on what makes the most successful comic characters so appealing: realism

i am talking about a movie. a sub 150 minute motion picture. comics have the liberty of pages and multiple issues spanning years to build, develop and flesh out a character.

movies have a limited time in which to tell a story and be awesome in doing so. what would you rather have, spiderman decking it out with venom or rhino OR mj having an angry talk with peter parker about how she feels neglected ? if its the latter then i think you have more pressing things to do than visiting ivg, like finding HOW THE f**k A GROWN MAN SUDDENLY DEVELOPED OVARIES :|

You guys have already put more thought into this discussion than whoever is writing the script will put into MJs character. :giggle:

5 gets you 10 that here is how it goes. Shitty love triangle. Villain kidnaps one or both of the girls. Spiderman rescues and friendzones one of the two.

Dimples.

She's not even a hag against Emma. It also doesn't help your case that she can't speak or act for sh*t, where Emma is a rockstar :D

WTF is going on here? Kirsten Durst? Really? Most annoying MJ ever.

Anyways, I am actually surprised so many people like Craig's Bond movies? All 3 of them makes him come out as a loser. Villain totally dominates. He is always falling behind or getting his a*s kicked and if he kills someone, that is always a lost cause. There is just no class or finesse like James Bond. Another example of a POS reboot ruining the original's legacy. Nothing against characters though, all of them acted well, movies were shot brilliantly (Skyfall is jaw dropping), music was awesome, had fair bit of set pieces, but story was meh. QoS is worst Bond movie EVER for me. Cant believe I watched it in theater.
