I really liked the subtle scenes they used to show Superman's power like:

When bullies try to provoke young Clark and when he gets up, the bent pipe is shown which he held in his hand. Whole theater clapped and hooted during that scene.

This is one of the things which I hated in my viewing. I was the only one who was hooting. A few others joined in after hearing me but largely the theatre was pin drop silent. And this was a first day show at IMAX. Jesus. You'd think only fans would come the first day at IMAX which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and when the tickets are north of 600!

Strange. I was lucky then. And that I guess added to my experience. It seemed I was in a theater full of comics nerds. However no one hooted during Krypton scenes even though they were pretty epic, so I was worried that this movie is going to be dud when it comes to crowd noise. But they soon got into it.

I experienced this during Iron Man 3. I booked for Friday night this time and really enjoyed. The crowd was awesome

Just got out of the theatre, pretty good movie. But kinda overdone in the end, 15 mins too long.

That said synder still did a good job and i liked the first half better then the second half. Lois lane looked out of place. All in all 7/10 for me. Would need courage to watch it again.

And that's what I love about IMAX. No crying babies, no one takes out mobiles, people barely talk and hardly any one comes late.

The sound effect provided by the film makers are enough to make the scenes epic. I don't want random sound effects from a stranger.

Only fans do come to IMAX though, cinema fans who knows how to appreciate movies and let others appreciate.

Random hooting does nothing but takes you out of the experience . What do you even achieve by hooting in a theater ? You think Snyder will hear it?

^ It really depends on the type of movie. I saw Avengers and TDKR with a cheering crowd and it really does add to the enjoyment quite a bit. I imagine a movie like Silver Lining Playbook with hooting crowd would be awful.

And FYI, for me both TDKR and MoS had cheering crowd and both were IMAX with hardcore fans. People came in Superman shirts and Joker/Batman costume for TDKR

The crowd here was pretty inconsistent. Some sporadic cheers and applause in certain key scenes. But almost everyone cheered when he did "the act" at the end.

Here the crowd cheered/whistle more when shah rukh appeared in chennai express trailer, lol
