it will never be as good and shocking as the original Korean movie cult classic!

 

Shocking? Almost certainly not. But thats because you have already seen the original. I figure it will be a real mindf**k for people who havent.

 

As far as it being good. It could be good. There is room for improvement in the original. Spike Lee is pretty capable. And Josh Brolin is VERY talented. So who knows.

it's been a while since i've seen oldboy but

isnt the protagonist completely unaware who his daughter or hw she looks ??so is spike lee changin the story

+2. Not sold on Lee as a director, he has had a very mixed record but then again he is no bay (thank god). It is the star cast that is doing the trick for me. Borlin, Sharlto Copley and Sam L Jackson !!

Finished watching White House Down. Okish movie with an incredibly weird and stupid ending.

Seriously.... airstrike called off because a kid was waving a flag (not even white ffs) on the ground. Looked to me like a small kid waving a flag >>>>> The President.

 

The comedy and the action scenes were nice though. It's just the ending that ruined it for me.
