Watched Oblivion. 7/10

It was a treat visually and aurally, the rest was all stuffs borrowed from here and there and patched up together.

.

CGI and the Tech. was super cool. The ending was pretty lame though.

Visually awesome but cerebrally unprovocative. I know it sounds snobbish but it's true.

Blech...it was the most derivative movie I'd ever seen.

What more you want from he movie, the typical sh*t would have been the guy plotting to take over kingdom dies at the last by the hero's hand or maybe a giant eats him, but he was expertly killed halfway, i didn't look at movie progression & though the movie would end for a part 2, but i was soo happy that they showed a good giant invasion & the end was just too awesome, the movie felt complete & a good one to keep in anyone's medieval movie collection

Watched Wolverine :wOOtjumpy:

wont rate the movie cause Wolverine is my favorite superhero...

The post credits scene is the best post credits scene eveerrrrrrr

The train sequence was amazing...

3d was totally unnecessary

Gonna watch 1 more time :D

Saw jack the giant slayer quite enjoyed it closest thing to Attack on Titans live action IMO

I felt it was more like a fairy tale than a action movie..

Was decent though...

Planning to watch it now. Should I bother? Dont want to feel after 40-50 minutes that I wasted my time.

Watch it , its quite interesting...

Good 1 time watch..

hmm... I don't know. I'm a sucker for CGI-driven movies and usually love most movies with lavish helpings of sfx goodness but Giant Slayer is the only movie till date that felt so boring. The giants were disgusting to look at. The plot was stupid....well whatever's there of it anyway. Ian Mcshane was wasted in a drab, colourless role. No replay value. Nothing exceptional in the audio dept. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. This is the kind of movie where if you watch it in a cinema, you come out empty. Not a single feeling/emotion/thought in your head related to the movie. It's just...blech...just exists.

Yeah independence day ending :D

And the major half of Oblivion was almost like moon, but still good for a one time watch.

Watched Oblivion. Liked it. Movie is shot fantastically. Really crisp. I would rate it 8.5/10. Worth my time and a good one time watch.

While you are at it, watch moon too if you haven't already.

What do you want models for giants, they are meant to be horrific looking, check out giants in attack on titans. Emotions were there you just had to look deep into it, i found Jack & isabelle's love story fun, without any complications, it was simple yet well crafted, the part where jack says the exact same words as isabelle's mother, was am awesome moment, i felt isabelle feel in love with him at that moment, it was a good movie that showed fantasy fairy tale movies can have romantic aspects without you making it boring

There's a fine line between horrific/frightening and disgusting. Stone giants from Hobbit were frightening and horrific, they weren't disgusting. Orks n goblins from LOTR were both 'horrific' and disgusting so they could've atleast tried for that. Nope. Plain disgusting don't cut it. Do you want to be intimidated or puke out your popcorn?

The love between the leads isn't something I'd call "well-crafted" myself. It was hashed out probably in one lazy afternoon. JTGS is one of those manufactured movies where big money's thrown to get a factory-made run-of-the-mill flick. It has neither a heart nor a plot. I could've settled for just one of them.

True that.

Even I wasn't able to shake off the feeling that it's similar to 'Moon' while I was watching it. I won't discuss anymore as it would only spoil 'Moon' for those who haven't had the privilege of watching it yet. Awesome flick that.

I was also reminded of 2001:Space Odyssey. It was a mishmash of acclaimed Sci-Fi....laawl.

I'd have enjoyed Oblivion more if it had some..err...creatures?... something...atleast a killer twist at the end. A 7 (most of it for the effects and the look).
