saw Great Gatsby, LOVED IT! second half is very solid. Great performances as expected. Leo never fails to disappoint :majesty:

OUCH!

Kick-a*s 2 reviews out and FAIL..

Metacritic: 41/100

Tomatometer: 29/100

Kick-a*s 2 is an uninspired retread. All too often it plays like a Comic-Con gone insane, with costumed do-gooders taking on costumed criminals in gratuitously vicious battles.

Kick-a*s is a prime example of a movie that never should have bothered with a sequel. Not only is its successor played-out, but it revels in carnage while lacking the visual style and gleeful humor of the original.

In the annals of sequeldom, Kick-a*s 2 has to be one of the lamest follow-ups ever.

It's no better, no worse and essentially no different from the jocular, clodhopping brutality of the first one.

Kick-a*s 2 is a special kind of crap: the kind smart people make for audiences they think are stupid.

If it works at all, fitfully, it's because of the precociously talented and in-control Moretz, who carries the film on her own small shoulders.

The writer and director, Jeff Wadlow, can’t obscure the movie’s misogyny, and he also has a tough time staging a scene and selling a joke. His worst offense is that he has no understanding of the power, gravity and terrible beauty of violent imagery, which means he has no grasp of cinema.

One of the year's worst films.

Your a*s is constantly braced in readiness and hope, but it remains un-kicked.

KICK-a*s REMAINS THE LEAST-INTERESTING CHARACTER IN THE ENSEMBLE

Chloë Moretz stands out as a dynamic presence in this lame sequel

User: Probably the year's second worst film other than GI Joe. The movie is filled with a stupid plot and even stupider dialogue, with every line trying to be a cheesy one liner. Cliche action scenes that are thrown in for no reason whatsoever make this a great movie for geeks with low attention spans. Obviously the audience will like this movie, as the audience never has any idea what the hell they are talking about. They want a movie that has no regard for realism, a movie where they can shut there brains off and zone out like a drunk 5 year old, and don't care about any sort of consistency. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and do not see this movie, and if you do see it, don't even trick yourself into liking it. You risk insulting your intelligence.

Dunno about the *critics*, but Kick-a*s 2 - the graphic novel is all about Hit Girl, not KIck-a*s. So Moretz being the focal point should be no surprise. Also, if you read the GN, it pays homage to sad violence, not the over-arching artsy violence of the likes of 300. All in all, sounds like the GN, which, while not being a bad thing, isn't for everyone.

Going today. :samui:

Dont, just don't. Its worse than chennai express. Why the hell did they choose akshay kumar and imran for this movie is beyond me. Complete waste of movie. The only good thing that came out of the movie was that I managed to convince my friends to join me in my abroad trip.
