Bulovski Posted November 28, 2008 Report Share Posted November 28, 2008 saw the shawshank redemption, very nice movie and the ending was epic ( but i still wonder that why this movie is placed above godfather and tdk in the imbd list? it's good but it's not everyone's cup of tea ) because of the epic ending. this is an ending no one would ever ever expect. it's become a cult classic actually. movie-wise the godfather is far far better, but this one is still brilliant because of the scene where they rip open the poster Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And its playing in a cinema which is a five minute walk from home. Is it good or crap? The movie is not good, especially in comparison to the game. However, it does have some positives... great atmosphere and sound design. Visual effects are neat. The movie has severe lack of action though and the plot isn't as involving as the game. Max doesn't actually even start fighting until the last 25 mins or so... @praveen... i hope you didn't think the demons were real. They were V hallucinations. Still cant believe the courage and skill of dat boy!! It has one of the finest narrations of all time, solid screenplay with some excellent performances. I was pretty pissed off that it lost to Forrest Gump at the oscars, atleast the common public have given it the right place. And regarding Godfather, I know many will disagree with me but I always found GF II to be a lot better than the first. To be honest, I think even Goodfellas is a better movie than GF. Well worth its place at no1 in IMDB. Its pretty much perfect in every way. Fantastic script, great acting and some of the most memorable lines/scenes ever put to film. On the house. seen it.love it. saw these this week. give them a shot: 1. Angst for the most brutal death scene i've seen outside real life. 2. wanted and desired . i thought he was just a perv before i saw this film. (hope it wasn't a trade off to shut up the black community for their agitation regarding this movie), btw i really liked memento, it was tight it was gripping and it worth it's critical acclaim. species: the awakening was ordinary but still was a decent time pass movie, atleast it was better than the 2nd and 3rd parts of the series. Robert Downey and Tom Cruise both in my opinion played their best carrier roles... Rabbit, I agree with you completely, Hallucinations in Max Payne (umm Constantine demons much?) threw it off for me. Just saw 'Saving Grace' (Craig Ferguson) and 'Zack and Miri make a Porno' (Seth Rogen, Kevin Smith Directed) Both really really funny movies. Def. watch.
