Aftrunner
World War Z. Why.jpg Seriously. Average film but why the f**k did they have to take the WWZ license and do absolutely jackshit with it? The movie had nothing to do with the book. If someone else had picked up that IP we might have had a decent TV miniseries out of it. Or a good film or two. Instead they pick it up and just make generic zombie movie #3245. KJD
^Agreed. It was just another zombie movie, with brad Pitt in it. Almost half the movie was contained in a lab. It's a world war, that too zombies. You do not contain it in a lab for almost half of movie's run-time. I read in Wikipedia article that WWZ is planned as a trilogy. But it will be tough for writers to carry forward a story further, from where they finished.

But question is, why were you even surprised ? the glut load of trailers were pretty clear about the direction they were going in. I even remember you declaring and lamenting that it's gonna be a generic zombie movie when the first trailer was posted. As much as i loved WWZ book and wanted it to be a documentary-walking dead mix, it was was pretty obvious from the start that this movie is a colossal waste of title rights. On it's own the movie is pretty good (maybe cause i consume very little zombie related media, i am not yet burned out, idk) but it's just not a WWZ. Nope. Pretty sad actually the book and the atmosphere created by the writer is very nice. Movie aint worth half of it. _ Edited September 30, 2013 by Nemo

Heaven Angel
In WWZ, Zombies were freaky, and was well acted by whoever acting zombie, I felt the movie name was inordinate, it should be like 'Zombie Apocalypse' or 'End of the world Z' Edited September 30, 2013 by Heaven Angel

achilles
Yup. I was going to post here a couple of days ago. Liked the film. Tense throughout. Though very predictable. Maybe I'll read the book someday.
dylanjosh
Same here. I really liked the scenes of the zombies climbing over each other. I tried to read the book though. Found it too boring.

New posters. :wOOtjumpy: :wOOtjumpy: The poster for Denis Villeneuve's (Prisoners) next film, 'ENEMY' starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a depressed history professor who sees his exact lookalike in a film and decides to pursue his double. ____ .J. Abrams apologizes for overusing lens flare: 'I know it's too much' J.J. Abrams even needed Industrial Light & Magic to digitally remove some of his lens flares from Star Trek Into Darkness."This is how stupid it was," J.J. Abrams added. "I actually had to use ILM [industrial Light & Magic] to remove lens flare in a couple of shots, which is, I know, moronic.
