You didn't like prometheus?

I felt both when i watched prometheus. What snake felt, in my first run. After that i hv watched it twice in blu ray (theres no other way to watch it imho). Uncut, with the classic ridley scott moments. It has an interesting storyline n thought process actually. Dont watch it fr free on hd channels. Sab maza cut kiya hai saalo ne.

Ridley scott 'thoda' sathiya gaya hai, par puura nahi.

guys,

any movie like Alien ...sci fi bhi ho aur thriller bhi ho.

Close encounters of the third kind. Old, par ek baar dekhna banti hai. Exactly thriller nahi, lekin sci fi king hai. Edited by Dredd

You can see hints of what could have been an excellent prequel to the Alien movies, but all went to hell after the re-writes.

Screw you Lidelof

Prometheus is pretty damn bad. I just finished watching it again, coincidentally. First time in 2 years and it's still as cheesy as I remember it

Saw Blended. Strictly timepass like any other Sandler movie.

I enjoyed the experience before Prometheus rather than the movie itself. I bought the Alien blu-ray egg set in Jan 2011 and watched the films for the first time. When I heard what Prometheus was gonna be about, I really got into the whole space jockey concept. I literally started researching into what might have happened on that ship. Read through hundreds of blog posts and forums, listened to a number of commentaries by Ridley Scott, saw almost every bonus feature on the BD. During all these, tidbits of info and a few pics kept being released by FOX. Trying to piece together everything was incredibly fun!

That's the Catch-22 situations with mysteries though. They grab the attention of the audience during the initial phase but after that stage, it's downhill 90% of the time.

1)If answers are given, the entire aura of the mystery and focal point of the mystery is gone.

2)If answers aren't given, the mystery is kept open but it's simply unsatisfying for the audience.

I feel Prometheus would've worked better as a beautiful sci-fi with great music and eye-candy (like 'Oblivion' ) rather than a horror flick. This is a little video I put together (It was made before the release of the film so I had to use footage from featurettes and trailer. The track is from the official soundtrack of the film and is called 'Earth'):

I give the film an 8.5/10. It has its high points but I hate the tonal imbalance; it felt like the film was having an identity crisis and didn't know whether it wanted to be a straight-up sci-fi or horror.
