Just came back from Jurassic World. Thought it was decent at best.

Apart from the climax, there was hardly anything in it that excited me. F**king trailers spoiled most of the good scenes. And even the climax had its fair share of stupidity.

The CGI, though not that bad, made me really miss the animatronics from the first two movies.

But the movie still managed to keep me engaged and didn't bore me. So that's that.

3D was decent. There were plenty of scenes which had good depth. There wasn't anything that popped out of the screen though (if you enjoy that sort of thing).

I watched it at Cinepolis in RealD 3D. The 3D there is never something that distracts you even if the movie doesn't have any good 3D effects to speak of.

JURASSIC WORLD

As a general movie fan, I can tell you that the movie is good. There are enough cool dino moments to keep us rooted till the end and the CGI are some of the best I have ever seen, I also have to mention that this is one of the only films where I actually enjoyed the 3D. Speaking about negatives, the plot goes a little bland towards the end and Irffan Khan ends up a Joker, however the trailers spoil nothing, the scenes linked with the trailers end up being absolutely mindblowing. Also I just loved "Blue", JW is a must watch just for blue. Irrespective of JW being an awesome action/adventure film, it does not have the heart of the original, it strays a little towards action blockbuster territory.

Being a Jurassic Park lover( I've watched Jurassic Park at least a 100 times). There is no doubt Jurassic world is an awesome action sci fi dino mayhem blockbuster which I enjoyed thoroughly throughout the runtime. However when the credits started rolling and the John Williams(original) music was played, I just realized - "There goes my childhood."

Everything has become so sad, there is no more scope for dreams, simplicity and imagination, even in the movies.

yes quite far from toli chowki. (10-15 kms)

in fact all multiplexes would be far from there. Even PVR inorbit mall.

Also, one imp thing. Jurassic World is not being shown in IMAX format in Prasad IMAX. It's normal 3D only. But just for sake of IMAX experience, you should try it. After all it's biggest IMAX 3D screen in Asia.

Consider yourself lucky.

The last thing you want do is watch a 3D movie there. It would have totally ruined your experience. Even the screens are very small.

I watched Star Trek: Into Darkness there and it was like watching it in black and white. I later watched the same movie in Prasads Imax and was blown away. Of course, Into Darkness had 30 mins of Imax footage which JW doesn't have but still the 3D at Prasads is really good.

Anyway, watch JW at Cinepolis Manjeera Mall in Kukkatpally if you can't get to Prasads. It's like 7-8km away from Inorbit mall.

You won't get tickets for Sunday now though :P
