mohit9206
Watched Terminator Genisys. It was an Okay movie. Not terrible but certainly not a good movie either. Strictly an okay mildly entertaining but completely forgettable and disposable typical Hollywood big budget blockbuster. 5/10.

I just saw the film today and it is good, but not crazy awesome. I felt the same way. I saw it two days ago and its a good 7/10 movie but totally Overhyped and overrated. Plot was non existent, all characters were underdeveloped and one dimensional. Some of the action scenes were good and visually the movie was great as well but I've seen far more awesome action movies than Mad Max.

[emoji14]So you're saying action movies should not have character development? Or just because its Mad Max, it doesn't need good plot or character development? I did like Fury Road but IMO it fell quite short on those aspects.

Yes no need for character development, Max is already a fully developed character

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 I don't know, I think Road Warrior has better (more complex) plot, better villain and better henchman. And of course Mel Gibson. Still think its one of the top 5 movies of the decade, which also gave you Die Hard, Terminator and Raiders.

There's plenty of character development by way of character arcs in Fury Road. Just look at how Max, Furiosa and Nux were at the beginning of the movie and then at the end. I agree with you that the plot itself was pretty bare bones. But IMHO, a good movie does not need a good plot. Some of my favourite movies have little to no plot. IIRC you praised Boyhood a few pages back. What plot did that movie have? The main draw of Fury Road is the spectacular and heart pumping action. It was relentless and barely gave you time to breathe. Unfortunately though, you nullified this by watching the movie at home on an HDrip. So yeah, I'd say your opinion on the action is pretty much invalid. I remember a friend of mine watched Pacific Rim on his laptop on a camrip and then called the movie shitty At least watch a movie the way it was meant to be watched before criticizing it. CarbonCore
The world building in Fury Road is absolutely unparalleled, especially for a movie with so little dialog, most of which will go over your head on first viewing.
mohit9206
Watched Her. f**king amazing movie. 9.5/10. First watching Chappie, then Ex Machina and then Her. All dealing with Artificial Intelligence in some amazing ways telling great stories along the way . Only Hollywood can make such movies.

Django_3101
So which are the other awesome action movies you've seen that have multi dimensional characters and "character development" ? Didn't you read his reviews on Birdman? you will be amazed Watched Birdman. It was a decent movie but best picture winner? Yeah no. 7/10. The action was really good, the main villain the huge mutated crow was just one dimensional. The 3D effects were good. The final battle sequence involving both Spiderman and Birdman against the villain was good too. Since Birdman is a part of MCU, am sure he will feature in the next Avengers. Also since both Birdman 2 and 3 have been confirmed by Marvel, we could see more Marvel superheroes in the next Birdman films. I think AntMan will be better film than Birdman. Maybe we might even see Birdman vs AntMan: Dawn of Justice someday. So overall Birdman was good but needed more action and a better villian. Other than that another hit for Marvel.
