Aftrunner Posted July 27, 2015 Report Share Posted July 27, 2015 Saw Enemy. Dunno who recommended it here but its phenomenal. I love how (even though the film isnt a "scary film") the whole film has this feeling of approaching dread and doom. Its like a bad dream building up its way to a nightmare. The soundtrack, the cinematography and the lighting all push it towards this almost surreal territory where it feels like anything you see could be a hallucination. And the final shot is absolutely pants sh*ting terrifying in its unexpected-ness. And yet there is almost a casualness to it. Reminds me a lot of Donnie Darko and not just because of Jake Gyllenhall (who is fantastic in this as usual). Very unique film. Its not for everyone though. I am still working my way through the theories on the film on different websites. Havent found one that I like yet though. Gotta read the novel now. I hear its quite different. Compared to the MoS trailer, it disapoints..... but statistics show that mediocre trailers make good movies more often. So yeah optimistic.
