Why they felt the need to convert a perfectly good animation to live action eludes me, though [emoji14]

Many would say money obviously.. but i think there must be someone who would have been passionate about doing something different with the property and do a live action.. and a live action would attract more audience thn the animation version..

Money probably.

Also im not sure how a live action would make a difference as i dont think there is a single person who would not have seen the animated version already :P

I sure have growing up watching doordarshan... but i think the current generation young brigade might now be as well aware of it.. i dont think the current 8 years would know of bagheera and mowgli as theres dragonball z ben 10 and all that sort of stuff for the new gen.. jungle book was a household name in my childhood days..

The best part of the animation was the light , fun tone.

I hope they dont end up making the live action a dark tone. From the trailer it looks like the movie is aiming towards a more dark approach :|

What you said is all true. Took a lot of hard work to get my daughter to sit thru Jungle Book (1967) because its so different from the animation techniques and styles that she's been exposed to. Yeah eventually she enjoyed the movie but I think she'll enjoy the live action movie more. The same with Cinderella. She enjoyed the live action one more than the original animated version.

On another note, watched Last Shift last night and boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. Probably the best horror I've seen all year. Its brilliant. It's tense, gripping and keeps you on the edge all to the end. The tension just keeps building and on more than one occasion I went "holy sh*t" or "holy f**k" or whatever the situation called for. This is what horror should be, something that makes you want to run away with cold sweat running down your spine, saying prayers to whatever god you believe in. And thank god for no found footage bs.

Put a shoe on your head and know your place.

Brilliant movie indeed. Watched it last night.

So who is gonna watch Black mass and take one for the team? I wanna know if its watchable or did the censor board sh*t all over it.

This. Might go watch it tomorrow night, will share the experience if there's no update till then.

Everest is so very AVERAGE movie, disappointed!!! 3D spoiled it further

It is pretty good movie...3D though i agree is nothing great infact would have preferred it without it.

Watch The documentary done on the Rob Hall and Scott Fisher's expedition much before this movie.... Into thin Air.
