Heaven Angel
He should have won it long back. His other movies are better than Revenant. About Spotlight, the movie was good. But memorable? Legendary? Will remember after few months? Nope.
STICK3Rboy
also emmanuel lubezki you deserve every piece of award out there. Congratulations. Yup. He's won it three years in a row now. Has anyone ever done that before? EDIT: It's been done before. But very rarely. But if Lubezki were to triumph on Sunday night, the cinematographer would enter truly rarified air: Only six people have kept their Oscar streak alive for a third year. Two of them are visual-effects artists Jim Rygiel and Randall William Cook, who won a trio of Oscars together for the Lord of the Rings films. Costume designer Edith Head and art director Cedric Gibbons both went three-in-a-row in the early '50s, while Tom and Jerry producer Fred Quimby managed the astounding feat of winning for four consecutive years in the '40s. (Oscar voters loved Tom and Jerry.) But the streak record is held, once again, by Walt Disney, who won eight consecutive Oscars for animated shorts in the 1930s, plus two special awards in that run for his contributions to film. To beat that record, Lubezki would have to hope the Academy smiles upon his next movie, Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups, which comes out in March — and then a new film of his each year until 2021. He's going to need a lot of long takes. Source Edited February 29, 2016 by STICK3Rboy
Heaven Angel
^^Yeah. Ford has won 5 in 3 years. Head has won 4 in 3 years. However, Lubezki is first cinematographer to win 3 in a row. Gravity, Birdman, Revenant. One more win will place him with Ruttenberg and Shamroy (both have 4 Oscars as cinematographer). But the streak record is held, once again, by Walt Disney, who won eight consecutive Oscars for animated shorts in the 1930s, plus two special awards in that run for his contributions to film. To beat that record, Lubezki would have to hope the Academy smiles upon his next movie, Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups, which comes out in March — and then a new film of his each year until 2021. He's going to need a lot of long takes. Huh? That is not true. He didn't win eight consecutive Oscars. In fact he won only 7 Oscars in 1930s. 32, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39. Disney's biggest achievement is probably winning 4 Oscars in one night in 1954. Edited February 29, 2016 by Heaven Angel

I was thinking the exact same thing. I guess they have shown literally every majot scene on youtube.
