^^ Yes, that IS a burqa. And yes, that IS a mace being twirled by the burqa person (in the poster).

Decently AWESOME Pakistani film which I've been told is being shopped around to Indian distributors as we speak. If it does see a release, I'd ask everyone to do their part in watching it/spreading the word so we get a bloody sequel asap. Those of you who want the DVD can import it from the usual suspects (Amazon, etc).

Shadow of the Colossus to be made into a film.

Producer Kevin Misher is setting it up. The script is to be written by Justin Marks, who wrote the recent and widely panned Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea remake that's in development at Disney. The Hollywood Reporter describes him as a "go-to young scribe".

Apparently, the producer and author are intending to flesh out "some of the characters who appear only momentarily in the game", in order to give it some dramatic interest. We're not even sure if we remember any.

This should be awesome.

Awesomely bad that is.

Dear Zack,

I forgive you for 300.

kthxbye,

Arun

Dear people waiting for a release in your cities,

I bring good news.

Surprisingly good performances, colorpalettes are fine, no overdone SFx or slomo. Loved every bit of it, the editing is near perfect - I didn't want it to end. As said before, not everything in the novel is present, but almost all the required parts are - seriously, kudos to the person who was incharge of what to pick and leave out. Good job man. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Legs on seat in front, I was mouthing the dialogues before and along with the characters. No one saw, they were under 10 people in the theatre. The creative liberties taken in the script don't seem out of place at all. And the casting was not as bad as I thought, except for Ozzy. Creep from Hard Candy is really good. With the right agent, he's goin places for sure. And the scenes in the intro credits - Very.Nicely. done.

All in all, money well spent. The movie has my seal of approval.

Seriously though sometimes watching films in an empty theatre is as good as watching a packed show,

Seriously though sometimes watching films in an empty theatre is as good as watching a packed show,

Kindly heed my advice - Do not watch it first day first show. SKip the opening weekend too.

The "ooh batman.spiderman. watchman??" and the "let's go to the multiplex and decide what to watch" crowd will ruin the movie for you. The venn diagram intersection of the two is the worst kind. Beware.

Take the day off and watch the morning or noon show on Monday.

The 9 guys spread out in different corners of the theatre today were noisy, restless, cellphone using ratbastards and I had to switch places twice for some peace and quiet.

^ arun, you smart smart man. :paagaldance:

i swear dude.

these girls kept giggling throughout the movie.

one of them screamed out loud -

"dude shave your chest"

during the

sex scene inside Archie(the ship)

:paagaldance:

and then towards the end when

Laurie confronts/talks to her mom about the comedian being her dad, these girls start laughing hysterically because the exact dialogue spoken on screen is "mom i need to get something off my chest."

. :paagaldance:

fail.
