Watched The Shallows.

It didn't really hook me as much as I expected it to. Although I'm not sure if I should be blaming the movie for it or the annoying fat girl at the back who kept laughing through the entire first half

Also, a couple of scenes felt like their sole purpose was to pad up the run-time. It looked pretty great though and wasn't really boring at any point. So I'd say it's still a decent enough watch if you've got some time to kill.

Whoever came up with the idea to put Karen Gillan in short shorts and a crop top....

Same thing happened to me when I was watching Don't Breath. A group of girls were laughing so hard in front seats that all the theater could listen to them. They were annoying to everybody in the theater. Others were talking silently about them too. The worst part is, you can't comment on them out loud because they are girls.

They do it just to look cool in front of people. This sh*t is freakin serious

Just complain to the usher next time. He/she will take care of it. Best solution I've found since you can't do much to shut up annoying, giggle happy teenagers.

Just shout "Are chup baitho"

I have had obnoxious people shouted down in theaters. Everyone is annoyed but someone needs to start. Be that guy.

Can't. Because then they will reply with something and then you say something and your movie is ruined! Its worse. People had heated conversations with the same issue before and it ruins experience every time.

How much can it ruin the exp? You already have a bunch of girls laughing during a series movie. Better to take a chance to make them quiet.

Personally I have done dis successfully a few times but My sincere advice is Don't. I m a big guy so people don't mess with me generally but I have seen fights on dis issue many times which escalated n unless u r with a group of 4-5 guys don't do this. And especially with girls. Even law of our country will only support them in case of a complaint n u will bear the brunt without any fault of urs.. ignore such dumbass girls, only solution.

Precisely the reason I like watching movies at home rather than movie halls. Educated illiterates are aplenty in our country.

Its not just fighting with girls, problem is just being around girls makes guys super f**king insecure. They wont wanna look like wimps that will listen to (even if it is good) advice of shutting up from some random dude.

It might work sometime but usually its a surefire way to start a fight.

Well maybe it depends on city/locality of the theater i.e. crowd of the theater.

In Pune, I have never seen a fight or even arguments start in theaters.

We even shout in English like: "Can we please have silence here etc etc" Such pretentious BS

In city where I completed my BE, almost every show had a fight going on in one side

So yeah, don't do this if it's a risky locality. People take everything on their egos these days.
