Watched No Country for Old Men last night... man what an overrated load o crap.

it's a good movie!!!

Not seen this movie but most movies that win oscars are over-hyped (million dollar baby)

:chair:

Mystic River was crap.

:chair: :chair:

The Prestige is truly brilliant.

I checked some reviews of Harry Potter BR box set. It turns out the first three parts are crap. Only 4th one is good and the 5th one truly meets the expectation. It sucks because now i have to check reviews for BR movies to see if the transfer is good or not lol

Saw Tyson. Pretty decent documentry on Mike Tyson. Its a bit one sided though.

Still worth it just to see Tyson crying like a little girl. Ha, I am tougher than you, Mike Tyson you pussy.

Man I hope he is not reading this or coming to India.

Saw Ong bak 2 (One man army) in theatre yesterday. Amazing action sequences and voice dubbing that is so horrendously bad that its actually hilariously good.

So yesterday for a brief period I was one of those assholes in the theatre that giggle like an imbecile in a serious emotional scene.

Yeah ending was kinda abrupt but TBH I wasnt paying much attention to the story besides giggling at the dialogues.

Anyways this has put me in the mood for some Jackie Chan stuff. Recommendations people. Stat!

Armour of God

Armour of God II (My favourite Jackie Chan movie)

Project A

Project A II

Police Story series (Not as funny as the above ones)

Miracles aka Mr. Canton and Lady Rose (Singh is King was a shitty rip off of this movie. Don't ask me how/why I watched it)

City Hunter (The weirdest Jackie Chan movie that you'll see. But it's good for laughs)

And a whole bunch of Master/Disciple Kung-Fu movies.

His Hollywood movies don't hold a candle to the work he's done out of Hong-Kong.

^^ Love those Master/Disciple ones! My favorite has to be The Fearless Hyena (a.k.a. Revenge).

oh yeah ! I saw that movie when i was in my 3rd grade. Good times

There's a I and II of that movie, both are good.

BTW, some of his hollywood movies are quite decent too - Rumble in the Bronx, thunderbolt, shangai noon, rush hour I&II, tuxedo etc. Not comparable to his earlier work in any way, but way better than other stuff in the genre.

I loved Rush Hour (the first one) and usually always end up watching it whenever it's playing on TV. The sequels weren't that great however.

But as far as stunts and fight choreography goes, his Hollywood flicks are nowhere near the Asian ones.

Yep. I enjoyed Rush hour and both the Shangai flicks but that was mostly cause they were pretty well written comedies, not cause they were incredible action flicks.

Havent seen a proper asian Jackie chan flick in ages. Should be fun.
