sanman
guys see ong bak 2!!! tony jaa's back That wasn't really Ong Baak 2, even though it had the same 2 guys, and was made in a similar spirit. It's just the marketing people who called it Ong Baak 2. Did you see District 13? (original French title "Banlieue 13") Now that had some great action, by some true action artists. Akshay seems to have tried to latch onto that, but of course he doesn't measure up. I'm really waiting for the sequel to that. It'll be hard to top the first one, of course. Errr....What do you mean by that? The film is titled ONG BAK 2 & it's not the marketing people who are pushing this title. People used to confuse Tom Yum Goong for ONG BAK 2 but it wasn't ONG BAK 2. This movie is ONG BAK 2 & even though it doesn't share any co-relation to it's predecessor, doesn't deny the fact that it's title still stays the same. Ah, my mistake - I thought he was talking about Tom Yum Goong, which is what I saw a couple of years back. I didn't realize there was an official Ong Bak 2. Damn, I better go searching for it then. EDIT: Okay, just saw the trailer on youtube, and it doesn't look as good to me as the first one. He's doing the elephant thing again, which reminds me of Tom Yum Goong. I liked the character from the original, and would have preferred if they'd done another story with him. This looks like another medieval country fighting thing, which bores me. It's seriously one of the best sci-fi flicks of all time. I did a Pitch Black / CoR HD-DVD back to back marathon the other day. While CoR is certainly not at the ame level as PB, watching the two was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Now to complete yet another Bourne trilogy HD-DVD marathon this weekend. Aftrunner
I did a Bourne marathon last week. Amazing films. The subway station scene with the reporter in the third flick is one of the most amazingly tense bits in any spy movie ever. Beats everything James Bond without using a single special effect. While CoR is certainly not at the ame level as PB, watching the two was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I did not like the direction they took with Chronicles Of Riddick. I hated the fantasy element they brought in with it. The franchise was meant to be a grungy believable sci-fi like the Alien movies but they decided to make it a darker "Star Wars". Although I did enjoy bits of CoR like the prison escape, plus Alexa Davalos is hawt. BTW, Vin Diesel has confirmed that a third Riddick movie is happening. I did a Bourne marathon last week. I love the chase scene in Algiers and non-CG infused car chase/crash scene of the third movie. Absolutely astonishing stuff. Tyler
Desh was pretty badass agent too. Loved the way he set up that trap for Bourne as soon as he saw him following him.
Aftrunner
Yep. Brilliant scene that. Love the look on Bourne's face when he realizes he has been had. I also love the hand to hand combat in the whole trilogy, it always looks very realistic and brutal. I have heard rumopurs that a new one has been sanctioned. Lets see.
