john117
Yes, it's another new animated Ramayana movie, by Maya Entertainment:[youtube ]Zs03zXUUURs[ /youtube] Looks pretty good, and has a hip sound. At this rate, you'll have to add a separate bookshelf just for all the Ramayana movies. Everybody has their digital Valmik ready to push out a story. More info: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/index.php?opt...&issueid=89 pretty decent clip .. hope it turns out as good as the trailer .
Tyler
lame movie. deserves 1/5 if it wasn't for the name forbidden siren, coz the game is good. movie simply spoils the games reputation.the only game based movie which is worth 5/5 is Silent Hill. watch it in HD if possible. Silent Hill was decent adaptation. They got the "look" right but somehow the appeal of the games was lost. It was also excessively gory. The ending sequence was more Hellraiser than Jacob's Ladder. It's still one of the better VG adaptations. For me the first Mortal Kombat movie is the best video game adaptation. I also enjoyed the first Resident Evil movie. Granted it had very little in common with the games but it was good campy B-movie fun.

Watched it over like 10 times, its very cheesy, but the music and the video gamish environment makes me watch it again n again.
Tyler
Also, there is a difference between "good" cheesy and "bad" cheesy. The second MK movie is an example of the latter. That movie is just plain embarrasing...
Ne0
^^ Oh, I haven't watched it. I think you are referring to MK:Annhilation or something. I watched only the first - the one starring christopher lambert.

sanman
Heh, coolest line from that movie: "You don't understand: I'm not locked up in here with you - you're locked up in here with me!"
arun360
So watchmen is good???.. Depends. You see, it's made for the fans of the GN. So if you are not one, take some time out to read it. Actually, it'd be a good idea to check out the motion comic first and decide if it's your type. Otherwise the appropriate response is - Nah, it sucks. Don't be wasting your monies. Aftrunner
Saw Watchman today. I think Snyder did Ok with the film. Not great but not bad either. I still find his slow mo then fast then back to slow mo style of shooting the action scenes irritating as hell. Esp when he does it a couple of million times during the film. Tyler
It did work for 300 though... his style gave it a very "God Of War" kind of look.
Aftrunner
Yeah but this wasnt 300. It was infact the anti-300. I can live with it if its done once or twice to show off something really special. But Snyder with this slowmo thing is like Lucas with special effect, niether have any idea where to draw the line. Edit BTW Malin Akerman cant act for sh*t. Good thing she is mind numbingly hot. Edited April 24, 2009 by Aftrunner

Esp when he does it a couple of million times during the film. It wasn't overdone at all. I thought the slomo scenes during the comedian murder was appropriate. Slomo while breaking out Rorschach was fine. I don't even remember where else it was used. No comment about performances, editing or changes to the script? Also, who pissed in your popcorn? Was the crowd well behaved?

Aftrunner
Well aside from the ones you mention there was slo mo used in the part where Veidt kills the assassin. And the fight between Veidt and Rorschach and Nite owl. And The comedian flamethrower bit in Veitnam. And the Riot bits. And I am sure I have forgotten a lot of them as well. It was all over the film. Edit Oh yeah like Ty says slomo sex scenes. But that I can live with. Aside from that I think he (Snyder) did a good considering Watchmen is hard to film. And I am sure the DVD with some extra footage would be better than the film. Also the theatre I saw it in had like 14 people in it. Some even applauded at the end. So I think I picked the right show.
