Params7
Can't wait for Drag Me To Hell! (And here's wishful hoping for Bruce Campbell's cameo in it but it probably won't happen as it'll add to humor)
Tyler
Drag Me To Hell is Raimi returning to his horror-comedy roots... Bruce Campbell *should* be in it.
arun360
Well aside from the ones you mention there was slo mo used in the part where Veidt kills the assassin. And the fight between Veidt and Rorschach and Nite owl. And The comedian flamethrower bit in Veitnam. And the Riot bits. Â Â And I am sure I have forgotten a lot of them as well. It was all over the film. Â Edit Oh yeah like Ty says slomo sex scenes. But that I can live with. Â Aside from that I think he (Snyder) did a good considering Watchmen is hard to film. And I am sure the DVD with some extra footage would be better than the film. Â Also the theatre I saw it in had like 14 people in it. Some even applauded at the end. So I think I picked the right show. Â Given that Watchmen is hard to film, I guess Snyder's minor excesses can be forgiven(although I think some of the scenes you mentioned did call for slomo). I really appreciate him for having convinced top bosses that it would sell in its entirety and for not giving us a completely watered down version. The movie will live on on DVD and is a worthy addition to the novel and motion comic. Edited April 24, 2009 by arun360
Bulovski
My biggest crib with the movie is that the mystery was destroyed. Otherwise nice movie - the scenes are straight from the book, except the over top gory scenes
Grimmjow
Why havent there been any movie changes from last Friday? Some sort of trouble at Big Cinemas or what?
Aftrunner
Given that Watchmen is hard to film, I guess Snyder's minor excesses can be forgiven(although I think some of the scenes you mentioned did call for slomo). I really appreciate him for having convinced top bosses that it would sell in its entirety and for not giving us a completely watered down version. The movie will live on on DVD and is a worthy addition to the novel and motion comic. Â Yep like I said considering the source material he did a good job. And I think he did an exceptional job with the Manhattan flashbacks on Mars which I thought would be the hardest to get right in the film. They were missing some of the key bits but DVD will fix that. Cant wait for it. Â Its not a bad film, I certainly had some issues with him directing it when I heard the news initially but TBH I dont think a lot of directors out there could have done better. Its just that the GN doesnt translate well to film and thats not his fault. Â But the slomo really annoyed me. Probably just me though.

Ne0
Saw this: Â Â Got to be the most hilarious movie I've seen for quite some time. Laughed so hard, I was literally rolling on the couch. Can't believe I missed it so far. Definitely worth collecting. Â Those who haven't watched it - give it a shot. 9/10. Excellent

Tyler
Watched One Man Army (Ong Bak 2) a couple of days ago. Typical Tony Jaa fare... hilarious dubbing, lame writing and excellent fight scenes. The whole theater kept on laughing during the "serious" parts. However, the ending fight (about 30 mins long where he takes on various enemies) has to be one of the best martial arts fight scenes I've ever seen! It even felt like a live action Ninja Gaiden at times, especially with all the weapons, blood splatter and "boss fights".
