Ne0
i love the longest yard n i think thats the best adam sandler movie by far Then you havent seen Spanglish. 'the longest yard' was a poor remake of the original burt reynolds' movie of the same name. It was neither funny nor exciting (being a sports movie) ! Infinity091
Just saw "Lock, stock and two smoking barrels" and "The day of the jackal". They were both pretty good. "The day of the jackal" could have been a lot better, the ending was a letdown or i just didn't get it.
Tyler
If you liked Lock Stock then check out Guy Ritchie's other Brit gangster flick SNATCH. Awesome movie with a great cast including Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, Benicio del Toro and Vinnie Jones among others.
MarketTantrik
Brad Pitt was brilliant in Snatch. Couldn't understand a word he said.
Tyler
^^ Yeah which is why they have an option in the DVD where it shows subtitles only for his dialogue!

MarketTantrik
Trainspotting. A flick with one of the most disgusting scenes seen in mainstream movies.
Tyler
^^ I know what you're talking about. But if any movie can really put you off from ever doing drugs it's Requiem For A Dream. Great movie although not something you'd want to watch again and again. The background score is also one of my favorites.

Ne0
Just saw "Lock, stock and two smoking barrels" and "The day of the jackal". They were both pretty good. "The day of the jackal" could have been a lot better, the ending was a letdown or i just didn't get it. 'The day of the Jackal' is a lot better in the book than the movie. Although the movie has come out very well, the book is absolutely brilliant. In fact the preparation for the assassination and the resources needed have been given in such detail in the book that, when the book was released, many newspapers and reviewers speculated that a person can easily use the book for a successfully assassinating someone, and it serves more as a assassin's cookbook rather than a fiction novel ! The author is Fredrick Forsyth by the way, if u already didnt know Edited October 17, 2007 by Ne0ViniT
MightySkate
^^i just love that guy's books. I have almost 5 or 6 of his books and each has its own distinct style of writing and suspense.
