People like it coz of special effects which are quite good for a Indian movie. . Indians love movie with good effects. 2012 was huge flop every where but in India it made over 100 crores. Just that the amount of hype around this movie is astonishing. Ticket sales I can digest, but satellite rights for 450crore? Not worth so much hype in my opinion. The first half was overstretched, while the second half was completely rushed. Also just so you know, even SS rajamouli has admitted to the fact they did not have enough story to make a complete film, but it was too much for a single movie.
