achilles
We almost always carry a water bottle, to every cinema there is including PVR, DT etc. If anyone makes a fuss, just shut them up, politely. It's not so much the expense, but paying for water that irks me. International trips, specially to so called developed countries are very annoying Guys, Is it allowed to carry waterbottle in the cinema hall? I have not watched a movie for a long time ...so don'tknow if rules changed or not...
Sach4life
It's kinda obvious.None of the Khans or Hrithik,Akshay ever got that many screens for their movies and such high priced tickets! None of those are the reasons why this movie is breaking records.
Star Lord
Sure it would have earned this much with fewer screens, less number of languages, no IMAX and low ticket price Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk Edited May 7, 2017 by Star Lord

pixeljunkie
It's kinda obvious.None of the Khans or Hrithik,Akshay ever got that many screens for their movies and such high priced tickets! There's just no comparison. The Baahubali franchise aimed to appeal to a much more general Indian audience. That said, it's ironic when Indian critics say that the acting and story is flawed! Weirdest tripe i've heard in a while! Sure it would have earned this much with fewer screens, less number of languages, no IMAX and low ticket price Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk Again there's just no comparison. Even if they get so many screens with such high ticket prices their movies should be able to pull the audiences into theatres across the entire country. Thing that actually makes Baahubali even more special is that it doesn't have any national star names attached to it yet is shattering records left and right all over the country, and everyone knows why! None of those are the reasons why this movie is breaking records. In order for the Baahubali franchise to have succeeded, SS Rajamouli had to look for very specific South Indian actors to play the lead characters. I thought that the idea of casting Rana Daggubati as Bhallaladeva opposite to Prabhas as Amarendra/Mahendra was perfect. Majority of the actors in Bollywood have been heavily typecasted into modern, metrosexual roles. To be completely honest, Bollywood can never produce a successful Indian Epic because the industry as a whole has typecasted itself. And i think they are aware of this but don't really mind. This and the fact that Telugu cinema again isn't as popular as Bollywood have largely contributed to the success of the Baahubali franchise. Sach4life
Sure it would have earned this much with fewer screens, less number of languages, no IMAX and low ticket price Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk What a retarded logic. Khan's, Akshay's and Hrithik's movies release in multiple languages as well. They don't even earn 10 crore down south in those languages. You need to have an audience in multiple languages in order to earn, simply releasing isn't enough. Rates are inflated with every major release. This is nothing special. Same goes for screens, how the hell does it matter is screens were more when all the shows are houseful anyway. You need to have an audience to make use of all those factors. Biggest thing is the weekend was on normal days and there isn't a single holiday in the first week and it is still breaking records left and right. The biggest thing about this movie is that it is going to break records in footfalls as well, which is the biggest show of strength of a movie. Start talking sense for once. Star Lord
Wow sach4lyf chill dude It maybe the best movie ever for you but others can have different opinions. BTW I don't think Hindi movies get majority of screens in south and not all Hindi movies are dubbed in Tamil/Telugu. Sach4life
I am chill. I just get irritated when people talk nonsense. We aren't talking about the quality of movie here. We are talking about its commercial performance. Edited May 7, 2017 by Sach4life

So we can conclude that the Baahubali franchise offered the one thing Bollywood flicks couldn't - a refreshing experience! The franchise owes much of it's success to the fact that Bollywood typecasted itself.

AtheK
It was how they did the first movie, the entire visuals followed by a cliffhanger ending. Once that was set in place, the PR team and the social media kept the movie fresh. If you look at it as a standalone movie, it's decent, but when you combine both it becomes a real good watch. WhiteWolf
Karan Johar's decision to invest on Bahubali 2 (Baahubali-The Conclusion) was his best and he knew it Karan Johar, who holds the distribution rights for the Hindi version of Bahubali 2 (Baahubali-The Conclusion), is delighted by the overwhelming response at the box office. And rightly so as KJo has already made a fair amount of profits from the film's four-day collection at the domestic box office. The day-wise breakup of the Hindi version of the magnum opus is Rs 41 crore on day 1, Rs 40.50 crore on day 2, Rs 46.50 crore on day 3 and Rs 40.25 crore on day 4, taking its total nett box office collection in India to Rs 168.25 crore. According to sources, Karan had paid a whooping amount of Rs 70 crore in advance to the makers of Bahubali 2 to get the distribution rights of the Hindi version. That suggests the kind of confidence Karan had on the success of Bahubali 2. http://www.ibtimes.co.in/karan-johars-decision-invest-bahubali-2-baahubali-conclusion-was-his-best-he-knew-it-725205 wow KJO ka khoob faayeda hua..lol Edited May 7, 2017 by WhiteWolf

Compared to the usual Bollywood flick, the Baahubali franchise has much more universal appeal. And you really can't blame the haters because they've been brainwashed by Bollywood. They just can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that India could produce an epic movie and that a film industry other than Bollywood pulled it off.
