Wow you just spoiled the whole movie for people who haven't watched it yet. Use spoiler tags dude. FYI his name is Ego not Egos [emoji38]

you shouldnt have killed my mom and squashed my walkman

with chain music :punk::samui:

That scene was executed really well. Hindi movies would have showed a flashback to make it more emotional and ruined the moment.

Rock is super overrated Actor. Can't believe he is the highest paid actor in Hollywood now

Yeah I also think Batista does it better. Rock has good screen presence but I don't think he can pull off comedy like Batista.

Also my colleague saw Bahubali 2 last night and he said it was almost like a comedy movie and thought that 3 hours of his life were wasted

I didn't ask much but he said some ship starts flying or something like that? Is that true?

In MCU, Drax is an uncomplicated character whose style of humour is deadpan. Majority of the Hollywood roles that Bautista has played till date are simple ones with little to no dialogue. So simple deadpan humour, like in the case of drax, is easy for an inexperienced actor like Bautista to pull off. But he's still a better Drax than Dwayne Johnson will ever be. When it comes to roles with more complex deadpan, Johnson is the obvious choice.

Rajamouli reserved the best visual effects in the entire movie for that one song! :)

Your colleague is clearly exaggerating. Did he happen to mention that the flying ship is in a dream sequence ? It's part of a song actually. It's not my movie of the year or anything but i wouldn't call it a waste of 3 hours. It could've been better with a shorter backstory and tighter narration.

But, if you didn't like the prequel, doubt if you'll like this either. It's more of everything the first one offered (more heroism, more gfx) - except for tamanna , she's has a blink and you miss role, lol :D

Tammana was my 2nd favorite part of the first movie :( why did they cut her role?

90% of the movie is the backstory, which gave little to no room for the events /characters from the prequel to have any continuity. This is also my main gripe with the movie(as I've said repeatedly here lol). They should've had a proper third part to address this or should've extended it by another 20 mins atleast. It's like literally the son comes and finishes off everything in under 10 mins ! The sense and scale of the mighty kingdom comes crashing down when a peasant with a bunch of ragtag villagers takes it down in a jiffy !

Okay, did I watch some other movie? I don't know, because I didn't like GOTG 2 too much, which is weird because I loved the first part and can still watch it and enjoy, and after reading the reactions here I fully expected to like the second part too. Eh.

We went IMAX for this one, and the 3D was absolutely incredible and the VFX was trippy, and some sequences, specially with Yondu were amazing, but overall I was kinda.. bored. Yup. The fun bits were spaced and few and far, the story itself wasn't up to snuff and was cliché AF. The whole bit about his dad and what he was and everything seemed dimwitted and honestly, I didn't really buy it.

It wasn't funny enough, wasn't fun enough, and overall I just couldn't wrap my head around a few things.

Then there was that whole bit of them going MOS around the end which was uninspired. Why does every "celestial" just has to, has to go batshit bonkers, every single time in every story ever told? And, if this guy was gee oh dee, wouldn't that make him a superior being to Thanos?

Lastly, there was also just too much melodrama which just killed it for me. The first one is way, way better. :( Edit: The music too wasn't up to the first one's levels. Not even close.

PS: In IMAX sometimes the subjects were so small compared to the rest of the screen, it felt like we were in a toy world.

This is the first time I'm hearing someone liked Tamannaah role

I'm sure he would've liked just her and didn't give a damn about her role [emoji14]

And if Rajamouli had it the other way around wherein 90% of the movie revolves around a slave-rising chipping away at a kingdom under the rule of a cruel king with little to no backstory then the Baahubali movies wouldn't be anything like what he envisioned. Even if Rajamouli did set out to create a fictional, historical epic that for the most part featured a slave-uprising then there wouldn't be anything to stop you from insisting that he was plagiarizing Spartacus (1960) and Gladiator (2000). Rajamouli set out to create a grand epic fantasy that revolved around Amarendra Baahubali (titular hero) guaranteed to amaze the audience in a country where hero-worship is immensely popular. It is unfair to criticize Rajamouli because he didn't direct the movie according to your expectations.

Yes, Entire song is filmed on a flying ship :P.

First half is boring and full of cringe worthy scenes.

Tamanah was good in B1. Itni sahi actress ka koi role nahi. Hud hai :/

No, it isn't full of cringe worthy scenes at all. Maybe a couple in the beginning but not entirely. I think you just don't know what cringe actually means.
