The unsynchronised linear narrative driving Dunkirk is far far less complicated compared to his previous movies. The whole point behind Dunkirk is to prove that non-linear narratives would've been far more easier to digest if movie industries the world-over didn't place so much emphasis on that one word as they have done for decades.
