Get ready for John Wick cinematic universe

Quote

Lionsgate has won a bidding war to pick up a female-centric spec action script titled Ballerina that will serve as a platform for a possible John Wick spinoff.

Basil Iwanyk, whose Thunder Road banner is behind the hit Wick action franchise starring Keanu Reeves, will produce Ballerina.

TV Show:

Quote

"It’s very tied to the film in that it’s about the Continentals all over the world, how certain people come into that world, and what happens in relation to those people, which is cool. I think the world is very vast, and everything I’ve heard from it is very positive. […] It’s something that studio seems very, very intent on [making] and very, very behind.”

Flash might end up being the saving grace of the JL movie. That guy is already the best thing in the trailer. He should have had his stand alone film before this craters and destroys any chance of that happening.

Aside from that it looks loud and expensive. Discount IronMan looks lame, no idea what Aquaman can do (control water?) and no clue who the villain is.

Such a dumb idea to do an ensemble film before you establish any of the characters. Marvel played it so smart.

Flash's costume looks meh.Not only that they might introduce Green Lantern in this movie as well.Pretty sure Ryan Reynolds won't be returning now :P.I LOVED Flashpoint story arc but it's way too soon for that universe-flipping movie in the DCEU.Would have been better if they spent some more time building the characters first. They are putting the cart before the horse.I'm still bummed that they didn't announce MoS 2.

Yo. There is NOTHING wrong with John Wick 2. :P

Oh noes. How will we ever cope?

I don't think i am talking to you or for that matter asking anyone to do anything about it. I was merely telling him how i missed Ambar's comment considering i don't visit all the threads as before. But then, considering how moronic your behaviour and comments are pretty much all the time and how devoid of sense they are most of tue timrs, one can expect a comment like this from you :giggle:

I hope Dunkirk won't bore you.

But if it does disappoint then i hope you won't lash out at the movie. You could instead choose to believe that it is not your type of movie (or) it isn't a movie for everyone! Christopher Nolan would appreciate it a lot! :D

Good to see that kids are loving JL.

In other news, Kevin Conroy calls Affleck the best Batman so far who is able to balance both Batman and Bruce Wayne personas unlike the previous actors. http://www.cbr.com/kevin-conroy-ben-affleck-best-live-action-batman/ Just from one film alone! And to think everyone hated him when he was cast. Snyder truly knows how to cast these Superheroes. Gal, Ezra, Ben, Henry, Jason etc., all have already become/becoming the definitive versions of their characters.

Also, Jeffrey Dean Morgan teases Flashpoint.

Perfect casting for Thomas (Batman) and Martha (Female Joker). Good to see that WB is still following Zack's plan for the universe. Regarding the RED SKIES in the trailer, in DC Comics, it means that a crisis is about to happen and/or that something is going on in the multiverse. By the way, good to see Steppenwolf actually engaging in the battle instead of sitting on his arse all the time.

Lmfao looks like Nolan fans need a safe space...

*Triigger warning for spoilers and opinions  below!*

Saw it a few days back....it seemed like a weekend project for Nolan, typical show and don't tell movie.

The criticisms for hardly any dialogues , little to no story, and  no character development check out. Add to that the over the top loud  Hanz Zimmer soundtrack.... drowns out those few dialogues at times....

No blood or gore -- this is a big one, how in blue hell does a war film not have any blood or gore? Nolan decided to make a gritty war film but PG13....u wot m8?

People next to me were moaning about the jarring sounds and confusing timelines where one of the guys in a group next to me asked his friend loudly "arre bahi abhi toh night tha ...abhi din kaise ho gaya?" Hahaha

Anyway I think it's an decent watch quite forgettable actually, maybe his weakest film yet, people will overwhelmingly disagree, but there is seriously nothing here you haven't seen before in another war or action film.

Except the tension which is amped upto another level with the constant time ticking and and soundtrack.

I don't  understand why would anyone want to watch it again...it literally has no redeeming quality, there is nothing you don't take away from such a simple film in it's first viewing.

I like the last shot, where tom hardy runs out of fuel and glides down while the soldier reads the newspaper about Churchill's speech...that scene, the cinematography  is 10/10.

So just on that last emotional scene i give this film a solid 5/10.
