Next coming to my opinion, I already gave that, quite liked it and that was it. Would I call it Nolan's greatest, debatable, would I call it a good war film. Hell yes. 

 

Compared to your desperate floundering about for reasons to dislike the same which include gems like,

  • A guy on Reddit could not figure out the three parallel stories -- So movie is bad -- Followed by I do not think movie is very complex 
  • The movie is too loud -- I think you need to experience live firing of weapons to know loud 
  • There are no French soldiers in the movie -- Wrong and more importantly I think you miss the point of brevity else-wise Nolan would have to include the Germans, the Belgians, the Polish and more importantly other men from The Raj
  • There is no blood in the movie -- What has blood got to do with War? People die due to shitty reasons like being in a wrong place at the wrong time

No one has to give film school level analysis to justify whether they liked the film or not. No one has to do the opposite either but then you go on ranting about how Nolan is a hack job and shoot yourself in the foot. 

 

I do not have to be shown each and everything about a situation because if you try for that, you get flaccid tripe like A Bridge Too Far and L.o.C. Kargil which try to compress weeks of parallel events in a single viewing and make for a piss poor watch because half the time you do not know what is going on. In that sense, he (Nolan) has succeeded in making people go back and read up about the events surrounding Dunkirk, now whether they do this on Wiki or read John Keegan, Antony Beevor, Liddel Hart, Lothar Buchheim or the thousands of other sources is up to them. 

 

We got your point when you first stomped into the thread, you do not have to carry on if you feel you are being ganged up on. Thanks.

Nolan is not your uncle he aint gonna give you a share of the movies profits for singing praises about his film.

What sort of pathetic person defends a fukkin movie and a director to an extent to get personal with some random person online?

I'm not changing my stance, neither am I conforming to someone or some people here who think there is a more deep meaning to a  film..... which happens to be art and art happens to be subjective.

And if you don't know it ....or are too ignorant to see it...then just like how you dont care about my opinion....no one cares about yours either.

 

So news flash - ..you're a geek just like everyone else here, and you have an opinion I have one, they will be different and conflicting, you dont like it ..deal with it and move on.

 

You don't see me ragging on anyone for offering some glowing review in any shape or form, much less get personal.

I dont understand your problem here abusing a mod regarding banning you which he never said he will.. you are having problem with people liking the film thats fine but others who liked it cant have issue with you is not okay.. while its not okay for anyone to question others opinion but you have been doing the same insulting everyone who liked it by calling them fanboy or whatever.. calm down dude just calm down its just a movie...

Umm I didn't abuse him directly, he got personal  with me... much like others, I said what I think was apt  about his arrogance, I never explicitly called him anything, It was just a general tone of frustration.

Even though he had a conflicting opinion and may have got personal, I still wouldn't want to abuse him, regardless if he was a member or a mod. End of story

 

Tell me who did i insult before? I maybe insulted some people's intelligence by talking about the story and all, but that was just reactions to their responses.

 

I received more insults and call outs in the last few pages for my controversial opinion...i didn't take that lying down i defended my position until people got personal.

 

But now I'm done, I'm not going to dwell on it or talk about this subjective piece of art. Its useless and become pathetic at this point

 

My main argument point was and is ..you dont have to be hiveminded, you dont have to conform to everyone's idea of liking a single film

And when someone comes along and says otherwise...They gang  up and start hurling insults and say you;'re wrong and blah blah blah....

 

Does it have to be this way? does it have to get to that point? That we just trade insults over a film and its director? 

 

Just treat it like an opinion and leave it a that.

See insult intelligence or whatever thats still an insult.. just like how you act out of frustration anyone can.. also regarding your opinion about the movie its fine you didnt like it its fine you find nolan a hack.. but keep saying that over and over again like you want others to agree with your opinion or your opinion matters over others is wrong.. there are others here to who disliked it like zodak and few other guys but they just put their opinions out and no one objected to that.. did they..? Somethings wrong with the way you are putting your opinion across..
