I normally. get scared very easily and that is why I don't watch horror movies. It's a good movie if you go in for a drama/adventure sorta movie. If you go in expecting horror that'll scare you, you'll be disappointed. I think pennywise origin will be given in next movie and derry will be fleshed out then. One thing I really like about the movie is that the story and characters come first and horror is an element of the movie. Too many horror movies let story take a backseat for just giving jump scares after jump scares. Haven't read the books so it was very refreshing to not see Christ and holy water and all that dragged into it. One of the best movies of the year so far imo. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk That's what's so good about king. While his horror is very visceral, at the same time characters and emotions are what really drives his books. Especially IT, Carrie, The Shawshank Redemption and The Body (movie : Stand By Me). Which is why I'm hoping Derry is fleshed out really well in Chapter 2. Either way the movie was good. Not awesome but it'll go into my collection because King fanboy.

After all Derry itself is such an integral part of the book. It was no where close to the dread of the book. And Penny-wise is a very watered down version but still the movie was the best King adaptation so far(haven't seen the TV IT yet). And im leaning towards it was a box of cigarettes that was blurred. Maybe camels or lucky strikes? Anyway I liked the movie for what it got right. The kids were really close to what I imagined. Except for course for Mike. What was the point of Mike at all since his role has been butchered to point of irrelevance. Loved Eddie though. Yo. Shawshank Redemption.
Sach4life
Going to wait for Blu ray or original ahem print of IT to come. I love horror movies and i personally feel watching a horror movie in a theater is a waste. Horror movies are to be enjoyed at night, alone with the lights off. That is the only way i can genuinely enjoy a horror movie and actually get scared.

You're gonna end up disappointed if you're expecting this movie to scare you, even if you watch it alone with the lights off. I actually think watching this with a good crowd will be more enjoyable (it was for me at least). The kids are the stars of the show here and it's their performances and the chemistry they have with each other that make the movie great. I didn't even walk in expecting a scary movie TBH and that worked in my favour.
mohit9206
Its true there's no point watching horror movie in the cinema but IT strangely worked. It is a fine movie to watch in theatre. Not scary at all but good fun time. Monster movies are fun to watch in theatre like Alien franchise for example. Not a big fan of Nanjiani but could use some comedy. __ The IT was pretty good. Well-paced film but wasn't scary at all. Not sure if it's because of watching it in a group or just the movie wasn't scary. Edited September 11, 2017 by Heaven Angel

More like Stranger things and you shouldn't miss Stranger things on the big screen. So much so i missed dustin and co in the movie but the kids all of them were awesome. Add them in Stranger things now Also really i mean what was the problem with that Henry guy. Who behaves like that seriously
Heaven Angel
Horror movies in a cinema hall is rather a fun experience than horror experience. Had more fun than comedy movies, just because of the group/crowd. 1 hour ago, STICK3Rboy said: Some very mild sad stuff. It's mostly a light-hearted, feel-good kinda movie. Sounds good enough. harsh1387
Saw IT. Will agree with most people. It isn't scary at all. Just thrilling. Even the jump scares didn't make me jump even once. Kids casting was brilliant. Lots of light hearted moments especially the dialogues by Richie were gem. The atmosphere was so like stranger things. Need to see that series again as a recap for season 2. All in all it was a fun movie but not great. Hopefully chapter 2 will clear the origin story.Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk

Big Boss
I might watch IT then. I like thrillers but not horror movies like It Follows, babadook, Conjuring etc. Too scary for me and then I can't sleep lol. But thrillers like Jeepers Creepers, Stranger Things etc are fine.
