I might watch IT then. I like thrillers but not horror movies like It Follows, babadook, Conjuring etc. Too scary for me and then I can't sleep lol. But thrillers like Jeepers Creepers, Stranger Things etc are fine.

Yeah ditto. There is "fun" horror films (like this and Cabin in the woods) and films where there is a genuine creeping dread (like The Witch, It follows). I love watching the former, I cant watch the latter alone. Too stressful and anxiety inducing.

Dont even get me started on horror games. f**k that sh*t.

Horror movies haven't really evolved over the years. Satan, shitty plot, stupid jump scares, etc.
I don't watch horror movies cuz of that.
But do watch IT. You'll like it. Trust me.

Conjuring Universe has changed that. They are pretty good now and has been since 2-3 years now. People are enjoying them more now in the last 2-3 years. Insidious is also a hit franchise.

Recent Annabelle Creation was fantastic. People were scared all over. It took a new direction.

The Nun will be even more un-nervy. Valak :panic:

James Wann :majesty:

I find Conjuring 1 the scariest and most unnervy in recent times. Conjuring 2 ka woh Mirror  and painting Scene bc :panic:

Conjuring is nothing special. Jump scares, Satan, sad excuse of a plot. The first movie was good. But all others have been mediocre.
You only like them cuz 'Andhon mein kaana raja'.

Ab bhai tumko pasand nhi toh thik hai. Kya kar sakte hain. Spielberg ko tum hi sikhaya hai direction kyun. Bolne mein aasaan hai, but they have done a fantastic job. Conjuring 2 was less scarier than 1 yes but they aren't mediocre. Anyways.

Conjuring universe is the fastest to reach 1 Billion after Saw franchise i think so that speaks volumes of how people are loving it. Tu dekh Zee Horror Show :P

Not at all. Conjuring 1 is genuinely a very good horror. I fail to see what is wrong in having a satan plot or jump scares as long as they solve the intended purpose. A horror movie needs to be gripping, intense and scary and Conjuring is each of those.

I did say 1st conjuring was good. The sequels and spin offs weren't upto the mark.
I am just saying that horror genre has stayed more or less the same over the decades and there is some innovation or reinvention needed in the genre.
I do get the point. Horror should scare and if it does, then what's wrong.
But you cannot deny that it's gotten very, very stale at this point.

There have been some unique horror movies as well like 'It follows', 'Oculus', 'Babadook' etc. Agree on the part that 2nd part was rather disappointing.

Annabelle had better scary parts (jump scares and dark throughout capturing the atmosphere) but as the whole, the movie wasn't good as IT. The ending was quite a letdown.

IT was rather a long good episode of Stranger Things. It wasn't scary but it was a very good movie. Highly enjoyable even if you hate clowns. The casting was spot on.

i don't get scared easily, but The Conjuring and The Insidious (first ones ofcourse) did make me jump on my seat

other thing i wanted to tell was, censor board is chutya bc, they did blur out few bits in IT, god knows what have been cut from IT

major positive for IT is the main character/ghost(?), dialogue delivery was so spot on, the very first introductory conversation, the introduction of IT, superb

as a horror, it may not score well imo but movie as a whole is simply well made :good:

Saw Jab Harry met Sejal... Good songs ...Anushka tries hard to play Gujrati girl but does not that convincing and SRK again is okay ....he has good presence in the screen but some of his acting skills always feel same and repeated .

Overall decent watch if you like music and have nothing much else to do...
