I would have liked it more if I knew anything about Sharon Tate. Too bad I didn't read about her. I would have enjoyed the movie way more.

I took your advice, read about Sharon Tate.  Thank you.

Was a much better experience.

Its a decent movie. Nothing great. Tbh let down considering the cast.

WTH.... We wont be getting a sequel to Spiderman Far from home and Spiderman will no longer appear in the MCU????.

It seems Marvel wanted a 50 percent stake in solo spideman films and Sony refused.

Rightfully so. It is straight up greedy on Disney's part to ask for a 50% share and it made no sense for Sony to agree to those terms.

Actually I'm not too dissapointed . I liked both Tom Holland movies but Spiderman had been reduced to a side character in MCU. Plus spiderman is way too young in this MCU setting to take on serious villains like Venom.

I still prefer the Toby Maguire interpretation to others.

Hopefully now we can have Tom Hardy's venom crossing paths with the new Spiderman.

Pretty much. I would rather have Spider-man movies with his own universe of villains and characters instead of being Iron man jr and being connected with MCU all the time.

LMAO get f**ked Disney going from 5% to 50%. Also Into the Spiderverse is 10x better movie than Far From Home.

Into the spiderverse is overrated. I dozed of in the theatres. The art and music was good but the story and screenplay was cliched AF.

I don't understand the MCU spidey hate here, MCU spideys character arc is almost perfect plus the side characters are great and villians have some of the best and fun motives/arcs in superhero films.

Spiderman was a side character as a kid up until infinity war, but if you follow his arc closely, he was developed into the next big superstar of MCU, he is the next Tony Stark of the Avengers. IDK how you can consider him a side character anymore. He is integral to the MCU.

Sony knows this hence they did not give into disney's monetary demands. Pure negotiation tactics. I feel Disney will cave into Sony's demands.

The Venom film is legit one of the worst marvel films of all time. Hope the crossover will have better creative guidance.

Now the MCU movie titles make sense -

HomeComing --> Far From Home --> Bye It Was Nice To Be Home

Disney must have planned this.

But seriously, I don't think this is a big loss. IMO Into the SpiderVerse was one of the best Spidey movies for me. Far better than the MCU movies. And Tobey Maguire's Spider-man 1 and 2 and legendary. The best Spiderman movies of them all. Only Spiderman 3 was messed up.

And in MCU, Peter Parker was actually becoming Iron Man 2.0 rather than Spiderman. Peter's own sense of identity and inventiveness was nowhere to be seen. And he had the entire Iron Man foundation backing him up. Something which the real Spiderman could never dream of. The actual Spiderman was characterized by being poor, always getting in messes and using his own inventiveness to get out of it. His personal life was a mess, and being Spiderman made it worse. Handing Tony's funds, tech etc. would have brought Peter to his knees. Here almost everything was given to him. Peter here dosen't hace as much problems as he would have faced in the comics/older movies. And almost all the problems he does face are of his own doing as a high-schooler rather than having circumstances forced upon him.

Also I have to agree - Disney was getting too greedy. Disney already had 100% of the income from merchandising. And this income is far, far greater than what the films make. Sony's only way to make money was through the films. And Sony also had to bear the cost of publishing and distribution while at it.

So f**k Disney and it's Monopoly Practices. I'm with Sony all the way here.
