Saw Star Trek last evening. AWESOME!!!!!

That scene where the Enterprise first goes to warp and exits warp at the Vulcan homeworld was unbelievable!!!

+1. The entire Vulcan sequence was brilliantly done.

Watched it again and I enjoyed it even more than the first time. Star Trek is now officially my favorite flick from 2009 (so far at least).

It should stay for a couple of weeks. But I wouldn't count on it. Terminator Salvation is coming this week and then Wolverine on the 19th. Besides Angels & Demons is still going strong.

Absolutely! The movie is aimed towards all audiences. However, if you do know about the original series, you'll love the little references and how all the characters, locations and the Enterprise itself has been updated.

Same here. It's the best movie I've watched this year.

Saw "Up" in 3D. I was expecting to enjoy this movie but didn't like it much. Somehow I don't get these Pixar movies anymore.

Yes, the animation is superb and it is funny in bits, but why do they have to make these silly attempts to make you cry. The last Pixar movie I really enjoyed was Finding Nemo. Since then, I've watched

Cars - This one freaked me out

Ratatouille

Wall-E

Up

Didn't really like any of these that much. Could it be that I've become too old for these movies? But on the other hand I absolutely loved Kungfu Panda.

Ok, dont really like preparing for movies. though I will read up a bit on wikipedia. Hell I should see it before New York releases Friday after next.

And blitz and gautam.u really dont like pixar movies? I havent seen UP, but wall e and ratatouille were splendid. Infact on blu ray, they look even more splendid. Its a good one time watch for sure. Though Wall-E i watched 2-3 times. Loved the way the emotions are shown even without any words. Anyways, not trying to force my opinion here, but yes I am genuinely surprised

Is it because it has cars that talk and fall in love?

But you're okay with fish doing the same things?

Double standards! :(
