Guilty as charged :(

And you don't like Wall-E too.

According to you, machines have no business emoting! They shouldn't have a voice, they're denied suffrage.. Oh yeah I know your type.

Anti-Machinist!

Seriously,

Characters in their movies have a ton of personality unlike the poor caricatures in a formulaic Ice Age or Madagascar.

Even the Pixar desklamp would pass a VK test.

^^ Probably Terminator Salvation. And Wolverine is releasing next week btw.

Have you watched Star Trek yet?

Been sitting one the fence with that one. I have not seen a single ST episode or movie. I have no idea about the universe. Would it make a lick of sense to me?

Of course. You don't need to know much about the original series to enjoy the movie. But if you did, it would only make the experience better.

Still the movie works well as a standalone summer sci-fi/action flick.

Mickey Rourke as WhipLash in Iron Man 2

WhiplashSm.jpg

I was expecting he'd be fully suited in something like red and black, but I suppose this must be a picture of whiplash having just escaped from jail or something.

He was actually Blacklash for a while before taking the moniker Whiplash. Here's a history of the character for anyone interested - - http://marvel.com/universe/Whiplash_(Mark_Scarlotti)

Hmm. Might give it a look then. Probably Thursday.

Yep, its a movie worth watching, whether you're a trekky or not, cos it rewrites Star Trek canon, you don't need to know the full history of ST until now.

If you've got any doubts (especially about the

time travel

conundrums which inevitably find a place in every trek movie), you can always ask us Trekkies in here after you see the movie :D
