GI joe looks very cool. Any news on release date in INDIA :exoticdance:

Yeah but the movie is in all kinds of trouble. It got the lowest score ever for a Paramount release during an early screening.

Then again, what were the critics expecting? Saving Private Ryan?

Saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine last night... the theater was packed despite being a preview show. Shows how popular established superhero franchises are here in India!

Anyway, movie was decent enough but as a Marvel fan some parts really bothered me. Many characters were not needed and were just put in for fan service... but it's hardly fan service when you ruin some great characters.

The guy who played Gambit should have worked more on the accent. He did start with a slightly Cajun-sounding accent but forgot about it completely as the movie went on.

Since this movie is essentially a prequel to Bryan Singer's X-Men, it doesn't make a lot of sense that Sabretooth and Wolverine had absolutely no chemistry in that movie despite their rivalry being one of the major themes in this movie. Granted that Wolverine

lost his memory at the end but Sabretooth definitely did not

.

But the biggest complaint...

Deadpool............ WTF did they do to him!!?? How can you ruin such a cool character? They could have easily worked around it with a better script. Ryan Reynolds was a great choice to play him but he did not get enough screen time either. I did enjoy the fight atop the nuclear reactor though and the part where Stryker's team attacked that diamond smuggler's hide-out was pretty cool. In fact all action scenes were quite well done and that's what saved the movie IMO.

I didn't wait past the end credits but is there any extra scene afterwards? And does it involve Deadpool?

Overall it's better than X-Men 3 but certainly not in the same league as Iron-Man.

After the credits, the guy who has been asked to walk forever(forgot his name), will be seen walking indefinitely, with his shoes / dress worn out and stuff. Then a US military or some defense guy comes to him and asks him to stop and tells him that they were searching for him (indicating they take him back).

Damn ! that was before the end credits, don't remember, saw it like some 2 months back :fear:

That scene was about 15 seconds into the credits.

Apparently there is an extra scene after the credits are over...

The hidden scene our reviewer caught after the credits featured Wolverine drinking shots of whiskey in a bar in Japan. The bartender asks him if he’s American, to which Wolverine replies “Canadian…I think.” She asks if he’s drinking to forget. “I’m drinking to remember” he says. (This is setting up the Far East as a likely location for any direct sequel)

The other ‘hidden clip’ features Deadpool’s arm reaching out from the rubble to find his decapitated head. The eyes pop open and with his, now open, mouth he looks at the camera and says “Ssssh”. Ridiculous.

Both prints feature a scene during the credits that has Colonel Stryker walking down a road with his shoes ripped open and his feet bleeding due to how far he has walked. He encounters soldiers who tell him he’s wanted for questioning in connection with the death of General Munson.

The DVDs in India aren't censored. They are just parental locked. You can easily unlock it with your password.
