They should at least release Disney-Pixar's Up here, for crying out loud. Unless there's some really shitty overly-dumb Hindi movie coming out next week that we don't know about, but I think New York already has that covered. Because any film with seeing John Abraham trapped in a box and screaming like an abused Yeti deserves to be released this week, doesn't it Yash? :/ +1 Been waiting for that since ages. Trust me, people went apeshit over the trailer alone and I didn't even find it one bit funny. The same old jokes rehashed. I'm sure multiplexes will try to cram as many shows as possible and T:S will probably still be around. So my guess is ROTF will get pushed back to the 10th. The first Ice Age was really good, the second not so much (except for a few decent scenes) and I'm not expecting much from this one either. It's the same thing as the Shrek movies. Some movies do release inline with their worldwide releases (like Ice Age 3 next week) but most movies usually release after one or two weeks after their US release. The first Transformers was released more than a month after it's US release. The recent distributor strike made this summer even worse. Terminator Salvation and Wolverine were both supposed to be released in May itself. @keyo... typical teaser trailer. The movie itself can't be as bad as Dragonball Evolution though... Fans of the 1st movie will love it, while the ones who hated the 1st one rather not watch this.
